Pending Delete Domain vs Pre Release Domain

I'm still wondering which one is better Pending Delete Domain or Pre Release Domain?
And I have some backorder domains that have reset age, will it lose much strength? Can someone explain it to me, tks!!!!

Neither pending delete domains or pre release have anything to do with "domain value". They are just expired domains that are acquired with different means.

A 3 letter pending delete .com would be way better than a no name pre-release with some random TLD. A pre-release with a lot of quality backlinks would be a lot better than some random pending delete domain.

Domain names get their value from things like domainlength, their TLD, backlink profile, brand value, readability etc. Not whether you got them from a pending-delete drop catch or a pre release auction.

If you were buying an expired domain just because you wanted to build a site and claim "yes this website is 8 years old" when selling it, then yes, it has lost all its strength. Because that's what you cared about.

Even if it's age gets reset, an expired domain still keeps (most or some part of) its backlink profile.

Prerelase domains do not drop. They are listed on auctions by registrars themselves.

Pending delete domains do drop for a few miliseconds until they are caught by someone.

Does domain age matter? No.
Is it a ranking factor? No.
Does anything get reset? No.
Do those few miliseconds of a drop matter? No.

I would argue those few milliseconds matter the most. Miss a millisecond or two and you have lost a domain.

This has been covered dozens of times here. No, it does not. Both 301 and 302 redirects are harmless.
