Hey everybody!

I hope you guys are doing well!

Let's go back in time a little. 4 years ago. TikTok became more and more important. Everyone has become an entrepreneur. Everyone drives expensive vehicles. Everyone wears expensive clothes.
I'm currently wondering if I'm living in a simulation. I live in Germany and young people are going down the drain here. Everyone listens to German rap, puts on fake brand clothes and pretends to be a gangster.
People are becoming more asocial and radical here. I wonder what is happening to this world.

I'm trying but I can't make it

I am currently trying to find a way to make money online. In real life, I make enough money to pay for my apartment, food, gas bills, and some clothes if I ever need them. I save the rest of my money or spend some of it shopping.
I really want a professional career and will start studying this year! I am good with my family, I have relationship for 4 years and we live together.
I started making money early on. Dropshipping, Affiliates, Social Media. I even started my own business as a social media consultant. However, I have earned a total of 0 euros over the years.

what is my problem?

I am a very curious person, I immediately google topics that interest me. I go so far that I understand the concept behind things and can clearly reconstruct them in my head.
You can find me mostly on my computer or mobile phone. I'm a programmer for HTML, JS and PHP. Learned Photoshop and Sony Vegas Pro a while ago. I also started several youtube channels. But stopped making content after 2 weeks everytime.
But this seems to be of less use to me and causes me more problems.
I feel like I'm stuck in a vicious circle
1. I am interested in a new topic with which I can earn money.
2. I'm starting to deal with it. Buy a domain, create a website.
3. I'll stick with it for 2 weeks and then quit. Sometimes I even forget that I started it.
4. I feel bad that I didn't continue with this.
5. I'm still feeling bad and trying to start again.
6. I stop with my idea again and finally give up.
7. And now go back to step 1 again...

I currently feel overwhelmed. I know I'm making enough money, but my brain wants more. Because I had already acquired a HUSTLER mindset back then, I feel like I couldn't stop thinking in that mindset normally.
I want to make money, but somehow I'm doing something wrong...

I can't focus on one thing either. As soon as I find the next interesting thing, I jump straight to the next topic and leave the other one.
I also procrastinate a lot.

Why is that?

Am I overwhelmed? Did I set my expectations too high? How do I get out of this vicious circle?

Has anyone had similar experiences? If yes, how did you get out of there?

I would be happy if someone could answer me. Maybe we can make this thread big and find more people who have had similar experiences and want to break out of the cycle.

I wish you all only the best! Stay healthy!

You just need a bit more determination on completing your smaller tasks, to get used to that habit, and then your bigger goals will take care of themselves.

Get everything out of your head and into a tracking to-do list system, that you can manage every day. A free spreadsheet, or cloud app if you want to get serious.

As an example, I have 5 life channels. Development, Physical, Relationships, Financial, Work, which contain about 90 goals overall, and inside my work I have about 255 separate goals.

I know all the dates of when everything is due when I last did it, and how many times.

I make progress every day on something, and nothing ever remains the same. New things get added, some things get deleted, and others get done or procrasintated on for another day. This is the very nature of a business in action. Strategic planning and results are the names of the game.

That's the best you can do. Don't worry about the people with their lives that might be just superficial. Your goal now you're here on bhw should be financial independence as best you can for your life & family only.

They probably never logged on here! :D

Gamify your work life. A simple trick I use is to set realistic rewards for yourself once a particular goal is achieved.

For instance, if projectX of mine hits $1000 a month - I take a vacation to Dubai.

I understand the perils of falling into the fancy and novelty of new things, and abandoning them after losing interest for a few days. I have done it too. I have invested heavily in some too. So here's what I do - I now partake in projects now just because they tickle my fancy and not because of their "enormous moneymaking potential".

Here's what I want you to do -

1. Pick 10 goals over the next 180 days. These could be 10 isolated goals or one goal which is further fragmented.

So it could either be

- Start a blog on technology
- Start a website on German immigration.
- Launch an SMM Panel
etc.

or it could be

- Start a social media company
-- Get it listed on all citation websites
-- Get profile pages on sites like Crunchbase
-- Find Top 5 competitors and see what they're doing.
-- Decide on packages and pricing
etc.

2. Get Notion from here -- and then watch this video -
from Danny Hatcher

3. Now pick your laptop, a small diary, 3 colors of pen (blue, green and red) & travel to a place that is far from your place - preferably a couple bus changes away.

4. Pick a spot, check in to a hotel, or sit at a coffee shop. Order something really nice as your first reward for starting things.

5. Take your diary and write your first goal on a page.

6. Turn on your laptop and research everything you need to do to accomplish that first goal.

7. Beside every task write the following

- Time required to achieve it
- Expected Revenue
- Expected Expenditure
- Date when you'll be doing it.

9. Mark each task as one of "Mammoth", "Rabbit" or a "Bumblebee"

Mammoth = Which require the most amount of time.
Rabbits = Which can be done in a few hours.
Bumblebee = Short Quick tasks.

9. Once you are satisfied - Add everything to notion and headback.

10. At the top of your notion page - write a reward for yourself for achieving the goal.

11. It's going to be dark soon - return home. Also, don't skip your lunch.

//

Once you're home - plan out your day for the next 2 days. Not a week, not a month - just 2 days.

Wake up and handle the most boring mammoth task first. Followed by a few rabbits and a lot of bumblebees.

Bumblebees will give you what is know as an 'instant gratification' - a sudden dopamine rush as you head to notion to mark a complete task of your tasklist.

See your productivity for 2 days - adjust the timelines - add sufficient breaks - some internet surfing time - and build out a timeline for the next 7 days.

Achieve your goals. Grow your bank account. Reward yourself. Send me a commission for helping you out.

Cheers bud!

Put in consistent hours of work into one thing
Trying a bit of this and that doesn't lead to a meaningful outcome
