[Journey] Translated Content to $1K/mo

Which tool you use to check copied content ? Are there good free option s in market ?

There's plenty free but Quetext (that someone else suggested) actually allows for up to 2500 words of content while others I found limit to just 1000 words.

I don't know if they're good or not but I don't trust them much especially since my content is not in English.
So what I do is I copy multiple small portions of my articles (say 10 portions of 50 words each or so).
And then search for each portion separately on Google to see if any result containing similar or identical text comes up.

You could even try to use search operators on Google like quotes and allintext:
"portion of text from my article"
allintext: portion of text from my article

Its easy to rank it but hard to earn money from that traffic, bounce rate is high if content is not that good.
What do you mean by content not that good?
If I'm a native speaker so I make sure the grammar/text is perfect and my source articles are good articles in terms of content I should be good right?

Are you translating from english to other language or other languages to english? Translated content ranks good for me
English to Italian. But now I also try with other languages to Italian as @Fiducia suggested.

Since you got traffic I'd like your input about what @Nut-Nights said. Do you see the same results?

I am still not monetizing this website so i cant answer this.

Depends on your country.

Romania gets around $7 RPM in a tech niche. I would assume Italy will be higher.

You'll need about 2,000 articles in Italian to make around $1,000/mo from Adsense.

This is an interesting journey. If you can keep it consistent you will get some results, eventually.

I have similar websites, some are doing good, others not so much. Performance is a consequence of the time I’ve invested in each. The best one has around 150k visitors per month. This one got a lot of manual work and good interlinking. General niche, translated content, lots of content

Without links, growth will be slow. The most important asset under the circumstances is patience and consistency. If you have access to links, that’s great, otherwise there is a possibiliy to get natural links from all over, with one condition: content should be fresh, structure and grammar great. Otherwise no links. Usually, websites TO English have a higher chance to get links.

One of my German sites gets around 500 visitors per day, tech niche, and managed to acquire during the last 6 months a few strong links by itself. Just a few.

Texhnically important ( proven criteria):

- No downtime, ever
- GSC spotless, no errors whatsoever
- Combine info content with commercial intent content
- interlink only when it matches the topic
- categorization
- tags only when you plan to add several articles within the tag
- pagination for front page, categories and tags should hold as many articles as possible, without damaging loading speed
- caching (great combo there, solved)
- Indexing API will get the bot visit your site but does not guarantee indexation

I’m still perfecting stuff, and try to keep myself organized. Hundreds of details.

I hope this helped a bit.

Good luck with your journey!

On my site bounce rate is not bad at all, about 40%, but still struggling a lot on earning money despite the decent traffic. I don't know why. By using Google Adsense, at the end of the month I can barely repay the hosting with 4k daily users. Do you have any idea on how to monetize these translated blogs better?

Look for big companies in your country that are willing to buy banners in your site

And how do I approach them? By simple cold email?
I really hope it works to increase the earning though, because having to fixing the grammar of all those articles is a real pain in the ass and I was thinking to give up just recently

Have you tried Ezoic instead of Adsense?
Or Mediavine if you have the requirements.

Also how much you spend on hosting? Maybe site is badly optimized and you spend too much on hosting?

I didn't try Ezoic. I tried Ezoic in the past, with another site (whitehat and not translated) but I had a bad experience. Even lower earning than Google Adsense and they made my site slower. When I complained with them, they confessed me they are not the best for sites that doesn't have English as their primary language, so no point in trying them again.

Never had an experience with Mediavine so far. Tried to join them just yesterday, I meet all the criteria. I'm waiting, they asked me to wait a week. But I have my expectations pretty low because of the same language barrier of Ezoic, I don't see how they can be any better since they completely rejected sites that were not in English until 1 or 2 years ago. They opened to other languages only recently. But yeah, mediavine was my last hope before give up the project I guess, because the hard work it's not really worth the effort, at least for me.

From a optimization POV, my site was completely fine until Adsense forced me to implement the Google Consent Manager, it fucked up my metrics pretty hard. That thing alone require 3 seconds to load on mobile now, slightly better on Desktop. But what else should I do? It's the law that wants that thing and Adsense starts threatening to suspend your account if you remove it.

Give it a try! My sites being mainly in German language, I use French content as a source. Might be because many people take the English - German approach with lots of plagiarism, might be because Google is just doing checks against English. Anyway, it works well :)
You're getting decent traffic from French to German translations? Can you share more about your success?

It is mainly informational content in the health niche. There are excellent French sources which even already include trust links to DOI + .edu-sites. So, I am taking these as a source, translate with deepl, cross-read and insert my keywords, run it through Duden for correct spelling, grammar and punctuation and do I final check with duplichecker (sometimes also as first step).

Update #1

What I have done
Posted just one new article in the last few days.
I've been busy doing a few things including what follows.

Scraped and translated articles from a french website using DeepL API.
So now I have 95 articles ready to be posted, just need to check grammar and add images when I post.

I've also remembered I have access to Github Student Developer Pack because I'm still studying at university.
That gives me access to free Canva PRO for 1 year, so I've replaced all the images I had in the articles with ones I made using Canva.
And that's what I'm gonna use from now on to make all the images needed for new articles.

What I plan on doing
From now on I plan on posting 3 to 5 articles daily from the batch of 95 articles.
That means I'm covered for the next 19 up to 31 days depending on how much I post.

Results so far
Articles posted: 11

Still early to say anything about traffic and such.
