The Plan​

Use translated (eventually rephrased) articles to rank a niche website.
I'll target low competition and low volume keywords.
I plan to post a bare minimum of one article per day.

What I have done​

Chose the niche and built the website with WordPress using a custom theme I developed.
Optimized the website like my life depends on it.




Done some keyword research with the Semrush 30-day trial you get from BHW.
Translated 10 articles using DeepL and posted them on the website.
Connected Search Console and Analytics.

What I have to do​

I found out that while all the "normal" pages have been indexed by Google, only 4 of the 10 article pages have.
I run one of the non-indexed articles on Plagiarism Detector and it showed 31% possibility of plagiarism.
So next thing I'm going to do is check all the articles and try and fix them by rephrasing them.

I think you will also need to rewrite it, and change it around more than simple translating

Yes I think that's why only 4 out of 10 articles got indexed. Next thing I'll do is try and rephrase them. And from now on I'll check every article for plagiarism before posting it.

I can't edit the OP anymore but I forgot to say I'll be translating from English to Italian (my native language).

Couple things I think.

It's not a multipurpose theme. It's coded by me from scratch to be lightweight and fast.

Then the hosting i use (€45/year WordPress hosting from VHosting) runs on LiteSpeed web server, which in my experience, when paired with LiteSpeed Cache plugin is very fast.

I always use VHosting but any hosting that runs on LiteSpeed will do, i used a different one once but can't remember the name.

I don't use DeepL API i just do it manually on their website.

you could also push some of the articles in openai, for example to auto generate FAQS and such, or to make a resume of the whole text (just push the whole article in the openai playground and tell it what you want) like ket points, FAQS ect, then it will have extra input and it only takes 30 seconds

Very interesting, I might try to do a couple of articles from other languages.

Give it a try! My sites being mainly in German language, I use French content as a source. Might be because many people take the English - German approach with lots of plagiarism, might be because Google is just doing checks against English. Anyway, it works well

Its easy to rank it but hard to earn money from that traffic, bounce rate is high if content is not that good.
