Youtube Shorts stops getting views!!!

Hello folks . I started posting shorts on youtube but whenever a video starts getting viwes it's stops and it count as a dead short . Even with high average percentage viewed
1: is there any way to overtake this situation
2: m i doing something wrong?
3: does it happen to you too ?

This is a good percentage viewed time but dead as all my shorts .

Yes it happens, it depends on where your views come from. All my views that come from Shorts Feed do tend to just go for about 6 hours to half a day then dies.

Some of my shorts do get more consistent traffic but most is just a big spike when it hits the shorts feed. I always use the #shorts hashtag plus a couple others. I do have a really small channel so im only just starting to show up more in the youtube algorithin. I use legit content that does get alot of engagement sometimes, but its not as good as other shorts.

If most of yours comes from the shorts feed traffic then its probably spiking the same way and dying off, i think its just how it works. There is maybe other metrics we don't realize that youtube uses to decide if a short should stay alive, because plenty of shorts do.

hmm, interested! I got 240 subs now I was 160 before 1 week ago but I'm still searching and thinking how the shorts algorithm works! it's hard to figure it out but I'll try to use some tricks. all that m doing now didn't work! I just need 1video to go viral and get more than 1k subscriber

i see!! seen someone talking about likes and comments so if your video getting more like and comments algorithm will not stop it and will keep showing to more ppl
but just tried another channel and yeah same thing ! only 1 video now is getting 200 views every 60 mins

Watchtime isn't that important for Shorts in the long run. It gets a spike, then it's dead; otherwise it slowly accumulates, hits a spike, it might hit a second one after a few months, but that's it. It's fully normal, keep uploading CONSISTENTLY.
