what kind of traffic did you test?
I think if your product based on clicks/downloads/source leads, there isn't a different way of using PPC campaigns or internet marketing. PPC is good way to bring more traffic for sure.
I'm using Admaven PPC for full-page ads

I have tried some of ad network and publisher, pop under. result not really satisfy. try google ads with cloaking / others method doesnt work is very quick banned.

Admaven PPC havent try. i will check. thanks by the way

Depending on the GEO, there might be other than the big ones like MGID, outbrain and taboola.
You can use a VPN and search for news in the country you need. There you'll find the traffic sources others are using.
Anyway testing, testing and testing will be the decisional factor to win or lose.
