What individual use cases are proxies good for?

Let's say for general web surfin, VPN's make much more sense because the traffic data is unlimited compared to proxies where you buy the proxies in gigabytes.

What are some of the reasons i might want to use a proxy service instead of a VPN server?

So far to my knowledge it is:
a) botting (scalping, flipping, sneaker bots, various game bots)
b) Black Hat Hacking

To my understanding the list ends here. If I am not doing any of these - does it mean I don't really need proxies?

Depends what you're doing. Proxies in general are good for when you need a lot of different IP addresses to hit some endpoint/server.

So say you were to do some vote manipulation. Like clicking on a "like" button on some website to rank it to the top.
What you'd do is get several proxies (preferably one per account but that's usually gets expensive af), make accounts on the website with those proxies and then vote on those posts.

Basically you need them everywhere you want to trick any anti-bot systems. Most services won't invest in a very smart one and will only filter by ip which proxies handle.

I these black stuff on RDP and using proxies , so safe would be using rdp !

vpn can never hide you to hack you need to use ip hider and proxy linux software

To be honest, VPNs are not good since real IP gets leaked through the system. On the other hand, Mobile Proxies are the best in terms of safety and who told you that mobile proxies are in gigabytes? There are providers offering unlimited data as well.
