iFrame a Youtube video = views ?

Does anyone know for sure if you have your youtube video set in an iFrame like on a flash site that it will register views to the video or not.

I put a youtube video into a flash site and when i checked the video it had 80+ hits.

There was no way that came from people because i hadnt put any tag or description yet.

It would have been me doing a lots of tweeks on the site because the video was set to autoplay.

I cant figure how else they got there.

Anyone ?

i tried it some time ago and had a video iframed at 1x1px on a simple html page and it worked well

But doesn't the video need to be played entirely in order to count as a view? Did all your visitors stayed in the page you iframed the time that the video lasted?

well thats encouraging, i will order 10k of views each (Ghazz) for three different sites with iFramed Youtube video's rather than embedded ones, in the hope i will still generate views but also people will see the webpage whilst there.

The video's are set to autoplay.

I know for sure that embedded YT video's do not generate hits.

That brings me to another question?

In this forum if you just paste in only the youtube movie URL, rather than the whole embed code, just URL gets converted to a full embedded movie here, automatically.

Now is that in an iFrame and if it is does that generate views?

From what i know embed videos do generate views but not 100% sure

iFrame = WORKS.
Embed = WORKS but only if autoplay is off. User must click to view.

Tested by me. iFrame will show up as a referral.

well thanks for that, i had all my iframes set to autoplay thinking that would get me more hits as people came onto the site

Just link your iFrame to your video URL and it will work fine. You can make it so that you can't see the frame by setting the specs of the iFrame window. The only problem is you will hear audio.

Any embeds will not work unless autoplay is off and the video is clicked by a user.

YouTube url in an iframe on own high traffic site = views! Doing this at the moment with a really bad test vid and it's working but traffic needs to stay on the site for least 30s to count.

or

30 secs of autoplay = 1 view?

Hmmm Playinator can generate 300+ views in about 10 mins when you send traffic to a video, so the 30 secs rule there is in question.

Thats another question i have how is it that Playinator can pump out 300+ views in 10 mins and then cant do anymore past that ever ?

The YouTube url autoplays in the iframe for 30 secs. thats how long the test vid is, I tried getting it to play for less but YouTube don't count it

Correct. I have tested it, if you want I can post stats.

IFrame your video to the YT url and it will work. I don't think 30 seconds of viewing makes a difference...

So lets say you load 10 videos' inside the iFrame, a person hits the page from one IP youtube doesn't let multiple hit from one IP any more that i know of.
