How's life out there?

It's changed a lot - been here 6 years - so protests and now zero (sense) covid policy means that a shit-ton of people left. We can't travel to mainland China and they can't come to us - plus all visitors have to do a one week forced quarantine in a government-sanctioned hotel so yeah, it's a strange setup

Bitching aside though, it's (...still...) a good place for biz b/c tax is low and there are plenty of opportunities and they're generous with helping you get a company going so no tax until you earn about 20K USD - then you'll pay 15% (20% if you're balling) - and that's what we're interested in I guess!

Nice to meet you SEO and Mainland China compared to HK are totally different things right?

You guys are all about Mobile and WeChat and basically instant-zero click (almost) interactivity

I think this came about b/c China came onto the Internet scene a little late and by the time they did everyone basically had a mobile - desktops are (I'd imagine) fairly redundant for a massive chunk of the populace

HK is all about Google & Facebook (Twitter is basically zero)
