Been going on for years still in 2022 the BPO & Call centre work getting outsourced to India.

What a pitty same story again just for few pieces of paper & still in 2022 no one has found an alternative.

What’s really ironic is if you’ve ever experienced tech support for big companies at Indian call centres. Now that is quite a swing of pendulum. Arrogant, brash, rude. It’s almost as if they feel they have ’the power’ to show their true colours and be as difficult and discourteous as the can for the sake of it. Nothing like the ass kissing in IM. I have two friends who work as field engineers for the two biggest ISPs here, and the opinion is the same - useless, time wasters, incompetent, ignorant and so on..
When I have to call tech support I cross my finger hoping that I get through to Philipines or Scotland since they have basic manners at least.

I don't mind it at all, English is spoken by so many countries in the world, it is hard to expect all countries to be speaking the same version of it.

Even American is not speaking the correct version of the Brits.

Yeah, I guess it's a habit also I am not Indian but I guess it's the older generation using the word "DEAR" a lot while younger or new generation doesn't use it anymore. It's only my perspective and I may be wrong as well.

Americans or Brits should be happy the whole world is trying to speak their language, fuck you have no clue how easy path you got in terms of worldwide communication.

I'm European and for example what SIR always meant to me is the best respect to opposite male contact, now I won't use it anymore. I considered DEAR friendly and nice, though inappropriate in business conversation.

If American calls American SIR, let's fight each other if you want, but this is so weak minded.

It's not correct English.

1. The term "Dear" is what a wife calls her husband or a husband calls his wife. We Americans NEVER call each other "Dear" in the same way British people say "Mate".

2. When you use this term, you come off as a scammer because this is what online catfish scammers use.

So please stop calling people "Dear".
