Obviously, we're in a crypto bear market currently. Almost all altcoins are in the toilet.

Would the 2024 halving of BTC spark a massive crypto bull run like before?

Or was the previous halving coinciding with a bull run just a fluke?

If we observe the Bitcoin History , It's Inevitable that Bull market will come. But Only question is when. As we observe this latest bull, Mass approach is more than previous ones. So certainly next BULL will be at shorter distance than previous.

Nope, halving doesn't affect the price, people who are ready to invest money affect the price, and the number of people who want to spend on cryptos are less and less

To be frank it's not like less people are there to spend on crypto. It's a general tendency of people who tends to FOMO in Bull market and Panic in Bear Market.

Halving causes miners to upgrade their mining systems. The difficulty increases and if you want to stay competitive you need to sell some BTC. That causes the price drop. The halving 100% affects the market

Sounds fair, halving may deepen the bear market then

It doesn't. The halving makes mining more difficult, which also means that any new BTC that gets minted is done at much lower rates (well, half the rate, hence halving) this means that as long as there's more money coming in, the price will rise faster simply due to the fact that BTC will be more scarce than it was previously.

Next bull run you'll have half the btc getting minted while the bull run is on, which also means less btc for miners to sell.

So yes, halving does affect the market and yes halving are usually the starting point for the big bull runs if you check historical data on bitcoin.

PS: It also means that BTC is getting closer and closer to its ultimate cap of 21 million, which is bullish news as the whole point is for BTC to be an inflation hedge

If BTC tests lower support levels, a trend reversal can be expected
I'm looking at 19-22K for a possible bounce and the last dip

Sounds like every financial market in the world?

USD / EUR is no different, their value is associated by supply and demand

No it is not, USD / EUR is based on the economy. You use EUR to buy stuff that is produced in EU. You use BTC to buy... what .... that is produced .. ?

If you can't understand how the financial market is effectively a huge ponzi backed by governments then anything I say will never change your opinion anyways.

Governments are bad, I know. Saving money for years, just to be eaten by inflation, stolen by government pricks. I know that. But giving your money to pay for electricity to run a giant cloud service which produces digital tokens is even worse.

well based on past data, halving always push market to bull.

The people in the know would tell you yes OP. You're on the right track.

If the price drop less the 10k I'm planning to invest 10k USD on this let's see what the future will happen with BTC.
