What are called these backlink website

They are directories and you really don't need those backlinks. They are absolute shite.
 
Stay away like the plague!!! These used to work back in the day but now search engines will actually penalize you for using these, don’t waste your time or efforts

Most directory websites will allow you to just post a listing for your own website. It's basically self promotion, with hundreds or thousands also promoting their website in the same space, which google doesn't really like.

For gettravelvoucher for example it seems impossible to get a backlink on the website but most of my competitors do have one.. do they sell their spot somewhere maybe ?

Looks like so. They have a contact form that mentions their email merchants can contact them with. Maybe try sending an email there and asking how much to place your link.

That means they either aren't open to getting more links, think you are not serious enough or are defunct by now, or don't "link requests" and make linkshare campaigns themselves.

Email them with your offer and a link to your website in the title. If they do not respond, well, that was your destiny.

Not all of them are spammy. Some are niche and might have a favorable audience.

Links in bulk like these don't help with seo. But they can help in getting exposure. They are like an Online Yellow Pages for your website and some people do go through Yellow Pages.
 
Directory submissions sites and those sites are out-dated, It's better just stay away from those sites.
 
You wouldn't want to get links from those places because Google considers such link sources spammy.

If you want your rankings to rank, then get listed on them.

But do yourself a big favor.

If you want your site to retain its healthy rankings on Google, you should disavow spammy links.

Are you asking your question so you can list your competitors?

Negative SEO can work but there are more efficient ways to do that.
