Is this decent growth for a website that I started around 8 months ago? It has 55 posts, mostly informational, with no linkbuilding.

Wow, how did you achieve this without link building? What is the niche and average word count per article? I started my site 4 years ago and just slightly better than this.

did you engage in link building too soon from launch maybe?

It's a business site, I did a few general profile link-building. The majority of the link started about two years ago, and I have been doing it drip-feed. I'm in the home improvement verticle and the competition is steep for keywords I like to rank for.

hmm so you waited 2years to build out links, this is very conservative and safe they should be yielding maximum power especially drip fed as well.

did you use unique anchor text on them?

how many posts? maybe you lack high traffic terms for articles to only be getting slightly better than 60 clicks at this point?

4 years in with a 2 year wait on drip fed links should be in full swing with 1000s of uniques per day.

im trying to figure out your issue.

I just wrote content around low competition keywords, focused on building topical authority, and ensured I linked to appropriate articles including sources.

the niche is important to know, it appears you had a pretty mild sandbox

putting things into perspective. 80 posts total and adding to it on a weekly basis. CTR is crazy low for the home improvement niche.

Depending on your niche and its ROI, it might be decent.

I like the fact that you are posting informational materials with no link building.

This is how I build my sites and I target low-difficulty keywords.

I also even target keywords that show no data on paid SEO tools.

The key here is consistency as well as delivering on search intent.

You're doing quite well for an eight-month-old site.

I suggest that you hit the 200-300 post mark and also optimize your content.

I can't emphasize this enough your content has to be optimized.

You have to outclass your competition.

This is hard to do if you're just taking wild guesses based on your target keywords.

You will need content optimization tools like Frase or Surfer SEO to figure out what your competitors are doing and outclass them.

Yes, I'm focused on producing high quality content that targets the search intent. Also, the average word count is 1180, but I'm working on increasing that to 1500. Additionally, my main goal would be to reach 300 posts by December, If I average around 40 posts a month, then I can achieve that.
