I have a silly question for you guys today:

Suppose that:

1. I would like to target the keyword "best toblerone" in the country of France (imagine that "best toblerone" are French words)
2. There is an expired domain called "bestoblerone.com" (only one "t" between best and toblerone). This domain has 0 backlinks

Which of these domain name would you go for? And does it matter a lot, not much or not at all for rankings?

2. besttoblerone.com
3. bestoblerone.fr
4. besttoblerone.fr

xD yeah imagine that in my real case i do not have a brand name.
Imagine the keyword is "best thermometer".
Would go country specific with a .fr domain or not?
Would you use the double "t"s in the name or only one?

Then I would create a french language site catering to the croissant lovers, with the .com as the main site too with a link at the top header banner for french translation. Since we know how much the French love their Toblerone it deserves its own dedicated site, as you could include more region language-specific posts, compared to a global .com! lol

double T since that's what makes sense
regarding the country it depends. Do you want to focus on France traffic only, or global? If only France then obviously .fr, otherwise .com

France only! Thank you for your feedback, that's exactly what I thought.
Sadly the "double T .fr" domain is taken.
I am left with other TLDs...

I add the "the" but I get the "fr".
I personally would rather go with the cleaner besttoblerone.com
