Monetizing After Deleting copyrighted videos?

Hi guys,
I have a question.
So recently I started to repost copyrighted shorts videos from tiktok to youtube.
I found a youtuber who is doing the same for 1 year now and I'm just copying the stuff he is doing.
After 1 year he got around 500k subs with reposting.
Recently I looked him up again and he deleted every Shorts video and started to make videos f.e. like "10 facts why cats..." and he is getting around 50k views.
So my question is, whether you can monetize your channel like that?

he was just collecting subscribers during those shorts posting and when he reaches a good amount of subscriptions then he starts posting videos for watch hours its easy to reach when you already have 500k subs and when he reaches 4k hours he erases shorts because there might be a reused content there and when no reused content then he is monetized

Yes, but he took a little risk by deleting all his shorts videos because it could lead to a temporary shadowban on his channel.

yes, that's what happened to one of my channels when I deleted a bunch of videos but it's the only way to get away with reused content to get monetized. I don't know if they count reused content on shorts but that's just my take on it

i deleted a ton of my videos to get back monetized after reused content violation.
Now my youtube channel hasn't been the same its been 3 months.
highest viewed video i have is 40k views.
before i deleted videos 40k views was what i would average a video on a bad day.
youtube and several ppl say my channel will recover but i lost hope
even when my video does well and hits 5k views..it flatlines immediately and the algorithm just stops pushing it.

that's expected bro and there are many of us here with the same dilemma although youtube doesn't say they are shadowbanning channels but do you trust the algorithm is perfect and has no flaw? It says It’s possible the videos were flagged by our systems as potentially violative & need to be reviewed first before it shows up in search. Try reporting the problem on Twitter @TeamYouTube and don't stop uploading

yeah i'll eventually maybe mention it to teamyoutube on twitter or chat support.
but i feel like if i complain any they'll just send BOTS to scan my channel for demonetization.
i think youtube is annoyed by ppl complaining about shadowbanning and channel suppression.
they believe the algorithm is perfect.
