it was the first time i made a project, and i searched google and i found it on fiverr, I started discussing my project with the scammer, at first he asked for $500 for the smart contract and UI, then i made a deal with him, at that time i didn't know why when I wanted to pay via paypal, my account was blocked so I decided to pay via crypto, then I decided to continue the chat on telegram, and he said the Smart contract and UI will be ready tomorrow, then I waited until tomorrow, and he finished making it, I should have deployed the contract but he deployed it, and I bought hosting and domain, and my project was completed and what annoyed me he asked for an additional $500 fee and according to okay it doesn't matter anymore the website and contract are ready, just waiting for the launch on 17 may 2022, then there is something that makes me weird, there is a client who chats with me he says *is this trusted?* then I tell him *y a he has made a project for me but he will ask for more payment in the future* and not long after this client said he had paid and he was blocked, after that I felt a strange thing, why was my project completed by him? but my heart still thinks positively, and I did an audit, the audit fee was $1k I have prepared it for promotion in 15 days, I also did a youtube promotion, then after the launch day arrived on 17 may 2022, and I was ready to launch, then ... what makes me feel cheated? so the profit from the project went into his wallet, so it can be concluded that I was cheated by him twice I was really in shock and I was very depressed at that time then I chatted with this developer and he was not honest even though it was clear that I saw in the smart contract the benefits of my project were automatically entered into his wallet and then quickly I decided to delete all telegram, youtube, twitter, discord groups and i have been scammed $2k I'm still dizzy right now, maybe this story is confusing sorry I just wanted to share my experience so it can be a lesson

Too bad you can't charge back crypto.

In this case, I would've asked for a review of the code BEFORE paying him, man. So sick this guy made this trick :/

Next time, stay on alert

Sir, I understand it sucks to be scammed, but you are clearly not qualified to operate a project like this.

It seems like you scammed other people who bought whatever you launched.
So, every crypto project people launch are scams automatically? :D

Did I say anything like that? No. He took people's money when he had no idea what he was doing. Then he just shut everything down and disappeared after he found out the money didn't go into his wallet. He scammed everyone who put money in. He admitted to scamming people because he got scammed.

I never had a "good" buying experience in Fiverr.

I reread OP's post and I see that the guy he hired made a contract where the eth went to the hired dev's wallet. It's all normal that op got scaammed and the only way to get out of it is deleteing everything. I mean he lost quite a bit of money herre :/

If he doesn't even know how to not get scammed with these basics, how was he going to manage a crypto project? He didn't even know how to check where the money was going?! He is responsible for the money that was stolen! He cant just shut down and disappear. That makes him a scammer and a thief.

yes bro my project is audited there is no scam code, if not i delete all groups and promotion, this scammer will get a very big profit, it makes me even crazier

Oh now I understand your point.
Yeah I guess you are right. :/
Well, maybe OP deserved to be scammed?!?!

Audit doesn't mean anything. "No scam code?" Bro you don't know what you are saying! How can you run a crypto project and take money from people if you don't even know these basics?

It's human to make mistakes, that's a lesson learned for him.

Isn't cutting losses the most logical thing you could do in that situation? I wonder how you would go about pumping in money in order to make few unemployed people happy.
