Learn to live with it. Its a pain in the ass to change your name and everything after.

That said, if my name was super weird, id change it. Or if i was like running and hiding from a government or the illuminaty or aliens, id change it.

One of my friends legal birth name is ‘mehboob’. Can you imagine growing up in a country like the UK with a name like ‘mehboob’? Now his name is pretty much Mehby and he’ll beat you pretty mercilessly if you call him ‘mehboob’. I don’t think anyone is allowed to call him ‘mehboob’ now except his mom. But of course if your parents won’t get upset by it then do it.

Live with it because I do live with it. I cannot tell y'all how many times my name has been butchered. Growing up it was annoying but now I laugh about it. When it's someone new sometimes I'll let them try pronouncing it first. I must have heard two dozens different wrong ways to pronounce my name in my lifetime.

And to think... my family shortened our name already! How fucking bad was it back in the day man?!

It depends how strange the name is on a scale from 1 to 10. If it's just strange, it might even make you unique, but if it's stupid or offensive, i'd change it.
