Hi, I am relatively new to youtube. I have been working day and night for the past few days to get my new channel up and running. My game plan is as follows, your advice is highly appreciated.

WHAT I ALREADY DID

1. Made the channel, created a logo, updated the cover photo.
2. Made four 10 minute videos. Original content. Scheduled the 4 videos to be published weekly.
3. Made 105 #shorts. Original content. They are only 8 seconds long. Scheduled the 105 videos to be published daily over the next 3 and a half months.

WHAT"S NEXT

1. I will create another 10 long videos (10 minutes each) and schedule them to be posted weekly.
2. I am going to observe what happens in the next 3 months and then take steps accordingly.
3. I am going to make another 100 #shorts. But haven't decided how to publish them.

Do you think I should post #shorts daily? Or twice a day? What do you think?

What else can I do to improve my channel? Is my plan ok?

I really need my channel to be successful. I prefer to grow it organically. I am willing to work hard. Your advice is highly appreciated :)

i think you are going good, try post 2-3 shorts daily.

best of luck

Don't forget to optimize your current videos. Quality > quantity. I've seen people with 5-10 videos in total get monetized and start earning after a month or two of uploading. So instead of uploading excessively every day, make sure you have good tags, title, thumbnail, etc. Download TubeBuddy, as it will help you with some basic SEO practices. Another thing, when you say you "really need it to work out," make sure to keep that enthusiasm and don't let it burn out. As long as you like what you're doing, I'm sure you'll succeed.

What niche are you in ?

Thank you so much. In your opinion, what are the best times to publish shorts?

Thanks much. Yes I do put quality over quantity. In the next batch of videos, I am planning to raise the bar even higher. I have worked as a freelancing video editor for a while, which helps me a lot in creating content. I optimize the long videos but I don't put much effort into optimizing #shorts as I figured maybe it's not as important. What do you think?

I think your advice about enthusiasm is very correct. That's why I made a lot of videos in the beginning and scheduled them so that I can take my time with the remaining videos. I like the niche, but I get discouraged a bit when I don't see results. I guess that's true for anyone?

Do you think I maybe able to see some results in 3 months? By results, I don't mean making thousands (or even hundreds) of dollars. Just some sign that it's picking up pace would be enough motivation for me :)

Yeah, shorts don't need a lot of optimization as long as they're short and straight to the point, capturing the most vital moment. The best advice I can give you is just get straight into it without any intro or outro.

I reached around 25k subscribers organically in spam of like one year, with minimal SEO optimization in my personal growth journey. And got monetized after about six months. But then I got burned out because I was pressuring myself into doing more than I was willing to. That's why I believe the advice about enthusiasm is more important than people perceive it. Getting a bit discouraged is normal, but don't let it get into your head. Keep pushing the content at your own pace, and do what you love.

I can suggest you watch trends in your niche, look at what's currently popular, and add your own original twist to it. For example, if you're making a video on the newest Apple Watch, you can make a video something like, "I used [newest] Apple Watch for 7 days... Here's what I think about it" with an eye-catching thumbnail. Videos like these will help viewers decide whether the product is worth their money or help them understand what the hype is about.

Agree, lot of videos with bad performance can even hurt your channel. Depends how your videos doin, If you upload 5 videos and only 1-2 of them will do good and rest will have few views than work more on quality. Best would be to make every video as best as you can...

Try to master thumbnails first until you can make them really nice. It's easy, and they have a big impact. If you have the best thumbnail in search results, people can click your video even if it's not at the top. That will boost your CTR and can climb you to #1

schedule them to be posted weekly.
This is a really good idea about posting them weekly by scheduling and seeing what happens, but don't overdo it. perhaps you get feedback way quicker than 3 months and 10 videos. Maybe you'll have some new and better ideas. Then what? If you don't use the already prepared videos, the time you put would go to waste. Try a fewer number of videos for a month and see if you receive feedback or have any new ideas, then make another few videos and schedule them. This would keep yourself engaged and won't burn you out either. Meanwhile, try to post 2 shorts a day. preparing shorts from beforehand can also be a bit impractical since they're highly impacted by trends.
