How do you setup your domain with your hosting?

I wonder, are you using the root domain xxxxx.com for your website or do you use www.xxxxx.com

if the latter, do you think it hurt you, looking at SEO only?

If the latter, do you do a 301 redirect on your host so that only www.xxxxx.com is valid and counted SEO vise ?

I always use www. although I don't think its a deal-breaker for me & others now, its just a long-standing preference for me to include. Maybe people who are new to computers might look for the www, as sort of a security certificate. But that's just a blind assumption. I'm sure I can remember a family member once saying there was no www, and it left them confused about a site. I do build links to naked URLs without the www too though, as not everyone would include a www if they were typing an address to link to.

You have many tutorials in Youtube, is just a question of changing your DNS to your hosting provider.
If you don't know how to do this, contact support or check youtube videos.

You need to change your DNS from your domain name to your DNS of your hosting.
if you are using VPS you need to point DNS A Records to IP of your VPS (check tutorials easy to do)

It may take few hours, depending on where you live and your DNS propagation.

That does not have huge impact on SEO, but server side redirect sounds reasonable. I think that worth to do that.

I did a 301 redirect in cPanel and also checked cloudflare for the DNS setup it looks like it is set now... the problem is aHref shows one UR Score for xxxx.com which is low and another for www.xxxx.com which is higher.

It is to early to say if the 301 redirect in cPanel will do the trick, but I would love to give all juice to the www.xxxx.com or as much as I can without losing it.
