Hey BHW family,

One of my clients owns a very solid jet charter information website (aged, great backlink profile, ranking well for target keywords) that's bringing in great traffic that's targeted too (buying intent). For monetization, my client has tried Google Adsense (brings in a very modest amount, only around $100 per month) and affiliate links from jet charter companies (which have converted NO visitors into flights after sending them thousands of clicks (10.000+) that convert into dozens of quote requests but no purchases, so no money made with this method so far).

Since I helped to redesign and optimize his content with great success (organic searches smoothly increased ever since), the client's asking me for ways to better monetize the website since the traffic is so valuable (luxury travel niche) but he just doesn't know how to take advantage of it.

Does anyone here have experience in monetizing this type of traffic? Any recommendations or ideas on how to take advantage of this opportunity?

I've searched quite a lot but so far haven't really found solid ideas, hence why I'm once again relying on you guys and your fantastic knowledge.

Thanks in advance for your help and let me know if you need any more info,

- Duke

May be solid investment plans like crypto investment/nfts would work

Hi Duke,

I was thinking if your client collects the database of those visitors. Maybe you can cross sell other leads to other luxury products like luxury watches/ Real estates. Maybe selling directly to the Company that sell these products?

Outreach direct to charter flight / private jet hire providers and negotiate a % referal commission for each customer you bring.

Not bad ideas at all, would basically try to get revenue on products that this type of public can be interested in indirectly (due to their likely profile), instead of going for their direct search interest. Very interesting and certainly something to think about, thank you!

Hey @GringoMonkey , that's a solid idea and I've done this in the past myself for other niches - thing is, the current referral commission rates are very good, they just don't pay out anything since the conversion rate from any visitor the client sends to the affiliates is 0 so far. He has sent over 10,000 visitors that turned into quote requests but 0 finalized purchases. If they did convert, the client would get a nice revenue stream, problem is they do not convert at all even though they're super-targeted and with buyer intent - it's quite weird, even for the luxury sector.

how much traffic does the site have? what geo is the traffic?

Hey @PushKing, currently it gets around 2.5-3k per month of highly targeted traffic (keywords with best, cheap, etc...), 95% USA traffic, 2% UK and the rest from various other countries (France, Canada, Spain, etc...).

If i have that website, I would have done these things:

1. Outreach to potential leads, for commision based leads or sales. (since you dont have any sales yet, you may go with the leads part only)
2. Collecting pixel data, (facebook & google) and reselling the collected pixel data to those outreached leads.
3. Email Collection, Weekly email blast of luxurious products from amazon, like bags, luggages, etc.
4. Making youtube channel and publishing content (the cash cow method) linking the website and youtube videos together.

5. You have to know your visitors what they need, and what i can sell them to gain more profit. Remember you are targeting high ticket audience so think out of the box and make some cool strategy.

3k users per months and $100 revenue on adsense is a good result
I guess you have a better chance in doing some kind of CPA rather than adsense as single client can bring much higher revenue in your niche than ads.

Hey @Iamdrseo, fantastic tips especially on #1 and #3 - I'll definitely recommend these to him! Your point #5 seems to be the overall theme of BHW's opinions on this situation, so I'll jump immediately on this concept as well and try to find an out of the box solution. Huge thanks for your valuable input!

Inline with the other idea, going for CPA/lead part only seems to be much more valuable considering the extremely low purchase rates - getting some revenue from quote requests alone would be a great improvement. Thanks again!

Just one other idea. You mentioned you optimized his content. Have you done any CRO, like using a Heatmap tool to record/track what visitors are doing on-site?
This may give some indication why visitors are not converting.

Btw, did you check if your affiliate link is working properly? It could be some technical issue that causes loss of conversion. Try to do a test conversion to see if you can see it.

hard niche, probaly find out what other stuf those traffic will be intersted in.
you can also sell the databasse to private jet sales division.
also try follow up on those people that click. like sending email. see who respond , than foollw up further
