[JOURNEY] PAA aggregating website - few modifications - one big vs multi smaller ones

Hi Everybody.

I've been looking around this forum for quite a while, reading all different stories, journeys, methods and so on.

Ive decided to give a try to make websites gathering all those questions/answers (PPA - people also ask)
I want to see which option would give better results, either one big website with every question/answer or multiple smaller ones with questions related to one niche/category.

Game Plan:

1. Scrape Content from few aggregating websites // IN-PROGRES
2. Catalogue it into some DB for easier management // IN-PROGRES
3. Make 1 big website containing all data
4. Make multiple websites "per" main question niche/category
5. See which ones perform better over time
6. Experiment with content spinners if "untouched/copy" content doesnt rank/get indexed
7. Backlinks Building
8. Set and forget - let it age

Basically thats my gameplan for upcoming months. Will try to keep You guys updated on the progress in the following days/weeks, so this would be additional motivator for me.

Good plan, will be interesting to see the results. I have often felt that a big authority site with adequate thematic content for each category triumphs over niched website, so your results will be interesting. I believe the acronym for people also ask is PAA and not PPA as in your heading, if you correct the typo people can easily figure out what your journey is.

Are you using only spinned articles

AH damn indeed, a typo Thanks for pointing that out.

For initial versions of the website will be using copied, not spinned content to see if it would work out at all.

When I finish scraping data, will try to setup both options - one big site and few smaller ones aswell, will be interesting to observe how they all perform with indexing and stuff.

~UPDATE 1~

Crawling process nearly finished, gathered ~2mln posts scraped from "similiar" sites.
Catalogued in SQL, question, main cat, sub-cat, answer etc

Deployed 5 sites:
Freshly registered domains, sites set-up ~1 week ago.

- Main site:
One big site with all categories
50,000 posts added so far / 888 posts in google index

- Niche / sub-category sites:

Site 1
22,164 posts added so far / 156 posts in google index

Site 2
9876 posts added so far / 136 posts in google index

Site 3
68,495 posts added so far / 155 posts in google index

Site 4
8040 posts added so far / 160 posts in google index

Backlinks:

So far, each sites has only one do-follow backlink from DR 91 website.

Whats next:
Adding more posts to main site
Need to find alternative to wordpress - it wont be able to handle all 2mln posts without powerfull dedicated server to host it, which I want to avoid, due to initial costs.

Adding more posts to sub-category / niche sites, up-to 50-60k per site

Adding more sub-category/niche sites/domains, ~25 sites hopefully this week, populating them with content.

Overall, aside of setting new/more sites, its time to wait for google to start indexing them and observe if it will rank for any keywords and start to recieve any organic traffic.

Might think about adding some backlinks to those sites.

Not sure what else I could use, since I dont have much coding knowledge, to build my own back/fron-ends.

How did you manage 2 mln post thats equap if you have 10 question for 1 post that makes 20 million paa question in total
in 1 week ?
did you use selenium or other things ? how many proxies etc

I scraped 2mln posts, those posts were singe PAA's. No proxies. Just visited site and saved HTML then parsed the PAA from the source. I used WinAutomation software to do this, since I am not a coder.

PAA answers normally short. Did you scrape whole article and post it _? if not those short answer with a single paa its bad thing.

Ive posted them separately, which indeed seems like a wrong thing to do, will try combining them a bit for new website. I used wp all import plugin. Super quick
