UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) for multiple computers?

I have a 600 watts psu, for which i am using this exact model (not affiliate link)

The other ups has similar spec, but it’s connected to a m1 mac mini which consumes only around 6-15 watts power. So, that ups is not even stressed.

By the way, you are correct about it taking more space, but I have enough space for those.

@Scorpion Ghost your assumption about older computers using lesser power is wrong, Sir.

Back in the days, computers used much more power than what they use in general now. The psus also used to be beefier for the same reason.

Well okay even if the PSU is less efficient in terms of how much energy it uses, it's probably gonna use less energy compared to my other computers, simply because less ram, weaker motherboards, weaker CPUs, and less programs running on them.

Good point you make, but I still think they gotta need less because of all the other factors.

For Indian sockets, you don’t need the ground pin (i mean you do need it for longevity of your device, but it’s not necessary). Not sure about Europe.

If you can return it back, just order it, make a test (put it at work and cut the power) and see how long it lasts. If you are not happy, return it back and get a bigger one.

As for this image, the bigger hole and the two next to it are for one socket, and the other two from right side for another socket.

I live in an apartment, in a not so sunny country. I don't have the space or the sun to put up solar panels.

But I could have the space and the sun if you bought me some land and a house and the solar panels. Then I'm totally up for it

Never heard of biomass. I just did a google, I sort of get it. But it would take 10,000 hours of research and $10,000 probably to get this going. So no.

Yeah that's what I was thinking of doing. I'll lose a few extra bucks on the 2 deliveries, as this website where I found it doesn't have free shipping as far as I saw.

But yeah, I'll probably do that, just to be on the safe side.

Also, the problem with your setup, is how do you provide also power for the switch/router? You will have your PCs powered but offline. Also, I don't know in your case, but in my case, when there's no power on my street, Internet is down too. There's no backup for the fiber optic.

Yeah that's not a problem.

So everything is working.

Power goes down for 17 seconds, everything shuts down.

Power comes back after 17 seconds, the router turns on, and 60 seconds later we have internet.

The computers remain down, waiting for me to press press press press press


p.s to add, it's totally not good for the computers to just crash like that. Like, the components and whanot, no good.

I'm just asking, you know, to have in mind what not to do in case I ever have a need and decide to plug something in on the fly.
