How do I target people from my Country?

So I started another channel just for the lolz. I make informative videos in a specific niche with my own voice over in my mother tongue.

Videos get good feedbacks and some subs, HOWEVER. I noticed that only 23,3% of the viewers are from Germany:

This is beyond stupid since I set the channel language to German. On every video I set the language to German and the video discription too.

Everything is spoken in German and the title. tumbnail and description are all in German, so is the video voiceover.

Why is YouTube showing it to so many other people who don't speak German? I notice those who don't speak German give low retention but I don't get why they would click on the video
in the first place since tumbnail and everything is in German? Somebody let me know how I make clear to YouTube that I want the videos to be only seen by German speaking people?

The CTR is stupid because why would Non-German speaking people click on it knowing it isn't in their language?

YouTube videos are promote viral mostly if it rank but if you need most views from your region/location, try using the commenting method to comments under German videos that rank and with many views.

You mean I should comment under German videos with my youtube channel?

Yes,you can write few comment about the video you commenting under then add your link BC adding your link only might result to spam.

There must be another way. I just want German speaking people from Germany, Austria & Swiss to watch my videos. YouTube should be smart enough to know my videos arent for every language

But I don't think you should bother about the kind of views you getting with the white hat method.

You are right, It's not like I can influence it right now. I have so much fun making these videos but I want the right audience to view them. Hopefully the algo will adjust the views to german speaking countries over time. If anyone knows something please let me know.

Nah I actually solved this problem because its only getting shown to German audience now. It just needed some time to adjust.

Slowly those current subscribers will also start sharing with their friends and you will get more german subscribers.
