I was just scrolling through a few older crypto threads which have a lot of replies and thought of this feature.

Would it be possible to distinguish in some way any and all posts made by the OP of a thread? Maybe by some sort of color variation or border. I have not really thought about how it could be done but only the concept and the uses of it. Other than seeing the OPs avatar while you scroll I don't see any way to quickly identify an OP's posts while scrolling through threads. All threads have post numbers within them. Maybe the feature could include a line at the bottom of every initial post to including the post numbers of each posts the OP has made within that thread. It could look just like the small box that appears with a list of peoples names who have liked or laughed at a post. At the bottom of each first post made in a thread could be a similar box containing the post numbers of each post made by the OP of that thread as a quick look up. they could be little yellow clickable links taking you to said posts.

Or would it be possible to have a feature to skip to the next post made by the op in a specific thread with a button. If the OP starts a thread and then their next post is not until a few pages in it can mean a lot of reading to get to the good stuff. if not a skip button then some way to distinguish at a glance. I would love to be able to read all the posts in a particular thread made by the OP rather than have to sift through lots and lots of irrelevant posts. People wont always want to skip ahead but in some cases I think it could be a useful feature. I get that not everyone digests info the same way and people will miss valuable contributions by other members if all they do is skip posts made by everyone else and just read the OPs posts.

It would have uses in old posts too. I have some still going from 2017 with hundreds of replies. It would be great if people could just skip to all the replies I have made, it would save a lot of questions on my part and save any readers a lot of time.

It could also be useful in sales threads where many of the posts and people asking for a discount or confirming a purchase. It would be great to just read replies and questions answered by the seller by skipping forward. I'm sure it would be useful but as to whether that makes sense to the goals of the forum and if it is easy enough to implement verses the gains it would bring is another matter. Just thought it would be a useful feature. lol if this already exists then I guess I have been using the site wrong all this time.

I realize users can go to someone's profile and look up posts they have made that way but some users post multiple times in dozens of threads each day so that way is not perfect. Its a great way to look up the content shared by a specific user but I was just thinking of it in terms of being able to access that info while in a thread.

There are indeed several workarounds (as outlined above), but what you're asking for within the thread - to jump to / amalgamate all posts from a specific user within a particular thread doesn't currently exist as you've outlined it. It's an interesting idea and something we could look at implementing in the future.
Thanks for the well laid out suggestion.
