Auction domain loses Backlinks steadily

Quick question:

I bought a nice auction domain 3 months ago with super strong contextual links and good power with your DR36.

Now I've seen that some sites have started to remove the link to my domain because they noticed that it's not the old website anymore.

Means: my domain is steadily losing links.

Is this very bad? How do you handle something like this with your domains?

Its natural, not much you can do about losing links. What you can do though? Start building links

Did you restore previous content or redirect the links? They might find it as broken links

This is probably the reason, if you didn't rebuild the site as it was.

I am using it as a moneysite. I 301ed most of the Pages to the homepage.

Your competitors can also help you get rid of good backlinks. If you haven't recovered old content, you will probably keep losing your backlinks, it's a common story for all expired domains.

Its actually a common story for all websites, but the live websites replenish the lost links naturally. Ahrefs have a case study for the subject:

On-top of what's been suggested, consider messaging/emailing the owners of those websites and ask them to restore your link.

You're not going to have a 100% success story or anything but it couldn't hurt to try.
