i like the invoicemachine.com ive used it a few times when ive been on the road its very simple to use and free depending how many invoices you issue a month

wife normally does all that stuff i think she uses money or quickbooks though

I use quickbooks. I can input proposals, create invoices and statements for both my and the clients records.

it also has a built in paypal feature too so your clients can pay directly online

it also has an active API - am considering building something that works directly with it or if not something very similar to it

I have used a quickbooks program but I cant remember the name of it, so that pretty much made this response useless, but I just wanted to feel loved.

I remember now. It was Quickbooks Invoice manager. It was a kick ass program.
