Lurked on here for a very long time, life got in the way and had a few other priorities. Now I'm back at trying to make something of something online.
Formally, I'm highly educated. Often I regret the time spent on the formal education, but I guess I could have been doing worse things too.
I honestly feel like even though I went through formal education, I was mostly self taught throughout it.

I'll try be involved as this place is really great for info and resources.

I have been the same, there are a few other forums I have spent more time on, but keep coming back here to lurk :D

For me it was going back on the job market and realizing so many people were in positions they shouldn't be in.. Lots of incompetence and I don't want to work for someone I don't respect.. Right now, I'd like another shot at doing my own thing.. BHW has a lot of riches in terms of online strat. And I find the people here quite honest. A lot of means to an end and reality checks!

Very interesting point of view, so you'd rather carve out a space or earning method for yourself rather than keep up with the 9 to 5 grind?

I also agree that BHW has a lot of things to be learned, especially from the back and forth of questions and answers relating to moneymaking...

I realized that from reading stuff on BHW the skill that I'm slowly learning is to "read between the lines" ;) haha, as people don't really expose their methods, but that would be equivalent to spoonfeeding, and that's bad... lol

for me, the reason I finally signed up was to combat my procrastination and finally try to get some action going on whatever earning method I had been thinking about. :suspicious:

It's not the grind that bothers me so much as the incompetence, and when you have a boss that's lower qualified and skilled than you but they're there because they worked in the company all their life, it's a hard pass for me.
You spend the time explaining your methodology to someone that has little understanding of what you're doing instead of doing the work and leaving when you're done. I don't like wasting time and don't want to work somewhere that encourages me to keep the seat warm :P I think COVID has encouraged a bit of change in attitude though, with more companies embracing work from home and flexi hours - quality over quantity of time.. But for now, yeah, i'd like to do my own thing.. I'm not a plumber or mechanic.. just a nerd, so online is my go to :)
