can you day trade bitcoin the way you can quickly get in and out of a stock? like when I see a drop to 37000 i buy and 10 minutes later when it's 37100 I sell? what platform do I use for that? preferably one that doesn't require ID but I understand bitcoin is getting more and more regulated so that may not be possible.

You can use any platform to do this. But this is not a solid strategy to make money with crypto.

You seem to have less information regarding crypto trading. First increase the knowledge and then decide about what type of trading you want to do. This will reduce possible losses.

well my strategy would have worked today. bitcoin hit 37000 and minutes later it hit 37100. and I am a dumb ass who doesn't know anything about crypto.

if you are a totally newbie on trading platform you can reserach before you trade or maybe you find a free training course many of those on google just search it

Could have, would have, should have does not work when trading crypto. OK, so when it was at US$37,000 and you bought it, as that moment, how are you 100% certain it would go up ? It would have even gone down to US$36,000 or below. Seeing any past performance charts in crypto and thinking "I should have", "I would have", "I could have", does not work in crypto markets. Bitcoin price is being totally controlled by the big whales and NO ONE can correctly predict at any moment, what the price would be even after a minute. At the most if one bought at a certain price at then the price drops, one has to panic sell or hold and that hold can be days, weeks and sometimes a few months.
@onlinemarketer12 is correct by saying that you have less knowledge about crypto trading.
Start trading with a small amount like US$100 and you'll understand within 2 to 3 days that "I could have, would have, should have" does not work in crypto trading based on any past performance whatsoever.
We are not discouraging you. We don't like seeing people lose any money, without atleast initially knowing the ways things work.

There was a fee of maybe 0.5% per trade, so it would cost you around $180 to trade $37k, buy and sell total trading fees is $360, so when you buy at $37k you are breakeven at $37,360. you lost $260 when you sell at $37.1k

Follow these guidelines:
Discover what influences the price of bitcoin.
Choose a bitcoin trading strategy and style.
Choose how you want to become involved with bitcoin.
Choose whether you want to go long or short.
Set your stops and boundaries.
Open and monitor your trade.
Close your trade to make a profit or decrease a loss.

oh believe me I know all about losing money, they did a rug pull on all small cap starting in August and I am down 80% or more on everything. But I thought bitcoin is safer because you don't have people like nancy pelosi insider trading and cheating the average investor.

shit I didn't know there are fees involved.

Yes, i dunno why you don't want to use id. since when you take profit and it's big. tax people will come at you based on your bank accoount and big purchase.(except you will never take out the $$$)
still you can use DEX, like pancake swap etc.
