Please understand that if you are selling high ticket items, whether they're your own products or you're promoting an affiliate product, trust and credibility are crucial.
Obviously, when people see a low cost item, they're more likely to take a gamble.
For instance, if you're selling a $5 item, people are more likely to buy your stuff and run the risk of getting burned than if you were selling that item for $5,000.
They are less likely to give you the benefit of the doubt if you are selling a high ticket offer.
It doesn't get any simpler than that.
This means that you have to put in the time, effort and energy to build trust.
How do you do this?
Well, it's actually not much different from how you sell lower cost items on the internet.
It all boils down to establishing a solid sales funnel.
First, you have to get a lot of informative content that involve the problems that your high ticket offer solves.
These pieces of content must be made up of key questions that people ask when they're looking to solve these types of problems.
You need to make a lot of these pages because there are many different ways to ask the same question.
But make sure you're targeting different keywords.
Once you have these pieces of content up and they are targeting low competition or less saturated keywords, the next step is to interlink them to go to more authoritative pages.
These are pages where you try to upsell people to your lead list.
The secret of selling high ticket offers is not hoping to get lucky.
This is where a lot of marketers fail.
They think that they just need to put up a piece of content and get found on Google, show ads on that piece of content and when people click, they get a sale.
It doesn't work that way.
You have to understand that you're selling something that costs a lot of money.
I don't care if you're selling a three figure item or a six figure item.
You have to build credibility and the best way to do that is to get mini bites at the apple.
You need to get people to your mailing list.
When you get people to sign up for your mailing list, you keep sending update after update that talk about their problems and different ways of solving it.
At first, people are not really going to act on your content.
But when they see it repeatedly and you're talking about other things that are related to their problems, you build a high level of expertise subconsciously.
And pretty soon, people will give you the benefit of doubt and click through and read.
And if they like what they read, they make a mental note of that.
You may not have made the sale right then and there but the next time you send an update, you get closer to converting them.
And then you send another update and you get even closer.
And before you know it, you nailed that sale.
But this requires a relationship and that's why you have to get people on your mailing list.
The best way to do this is to put up a content site, maybe it's a blog with many posts, and give people a freebie or some sort of digital premium for signing up for your mailing list.
Once you have them on the list, you get many chances at converting them.
You also get many chances at driving traffic to your blog.
You benefit in so many ways.
The money, after all, is in the list.
