Hello,

10 days ago I posted a thread on Reddit with my youtube video link asking something about in video. Thread gor 6.6 k views so far but I got only 110 views from Reddit on that video Analytics.

Then I made another thread today with different video, asking exactly about video - is it good, what to change etc. And is it possible that thread has OVER 7000 views so far but video only 20 views. ( 30 upvotes )
It is not possible that 7000+ people opened thread ( not clickbait - title of thread is that I made a video and what do you think guys ) and that only 20 clicked video ? I cant believe that is possible. It must be over 1000 AT LEAST but why YouTube is not showing those views at all ?

You better believe it, it is possible. Just post and repost and check your result. Right now you are working on assumptions

10 200 Reddit thread views so far and only 30 views on YouTube :) this is a joke hahaha

if people dont click on the youtube link. it only counts as a view if they click on the link from the thread, not the impressions it gets on youtube
?????????????

And you really think only 30 people out of 10200 clicked link? Thread is about my voice in video. I think at least 2000 clicked to hear it

~70 000 reddit post views => 840 website visits(clicks)

Your stats seems about right.

Nobody cares about impressions dude It doesnt work like that

1. You must watch at least 30 seconds on YouTube to count as views.
2.Only the view that clicks the reddit preview, not the embedded video, counts.

You mean, any view on YT's own platform, right ?
2.Only the view that clicks the reddit preview, not the embedded video, counts.
Pardon my ignorance, but how do you mean with "reddit preview" ? the YT link contained in the reddit thread ? If so, what's the point of a reddit thread consisting of an embedded video ? And more generally, does any kind of embedding anywhere (website, drummitup, other social network,...) count in the number of views validated by YT ?
Thank you.

Firstly, I would like to know how long the video was and the watchtime stats on your Analytics for the video

What is the video uploaded is less than 30 seconds itself?

"What is the video uploaded is less than 30 seconds itself?"

If it works like Google ads, then the whole of the video (<30s) has to be watched for it to be counted.

i disagree, youtube generally counts the views in 7s for external source, and in 2-3s for suggested, or direct

The best thing to do is contact YouTube support on Twitter

Reddit post "view" is quite meaningless stat - if someone scrolls past your post in the reddit feed then it counts as a view - the user might have not even clicked on the title of the post to open it to see the content.
