I don't know if your experience was good or bad, but I myself have registered 2 domains, one in my name and another in someone else name at my home and it's been a couple of months and so far so good.

No need to use any proxy or anything to get the offer, since it's open for everyone, but as usual, one domain per account with the offer price.

And, I am not affiliated in any way with them. In fact, I tried to signup for their affiliate program but got rejected, so it's safe I guess to mention that I am not affiliated with them, but have purchased from them.

Yes, they are online for a couple of years now and yes, I am using hosting from another provider.

I am an Indian myself and never used any proxy or anything backdoor.

But, yes it's for 1st year only and for one per account. I was able to get 2 in 2 different names using 2 different cards. So, it's legal.

I used cards, so I don't really know. I have changed the renewal to manual and it's transferrable to another registrar, which their support confirmed. But, I see they have Paypal as a payment option.

Can you register for just 1 year?

Yes, unlike godaddy or some registrars ask for 2 years and offer you 1st year for a dollar or so.

I have registered for only one year by paying 1.99 GBP only.

Do you mean while transferring?

I have registered the domains for churn and burn, so if that's the case like @MisterF's warning, then guys be careful and check if you have any requirements for churn n burn domains.
