How to hide/proxy MX records while still receiving mail?

Easy using 3rd party service like
Gmail
Zoho
MXRoute
Namecheap Private Email
OVH

Usually domains providers provide free email box.. then you can use it..

You can hide with Cloudflare... just make sure that your website doesn't show MX Records.
Use this website

https://dnsdumpster.com
Put your domain there (without http or www, just example.com) if MX records is showing is because is not hidden.
Then you can use a VPS to make a reverse proxy or any 3rd party email provider to hide it..

Thank you for the website.

From what I understand, you're suggesting that I remove MX records from my origin server's DNS. Doing that breaks mail routing. How would 3rd party email providers receive emails sent to directly to my domain's inbox?

If you use 3rd party mail box, the IP that will appear in MX Records will be of there, not of your hosting provider.
You can forward the email if you want. ;)

Why you want to hide MX Records, if you can use 3rd party email provider and your origin IP will be unknown? Only MX Records IPs which is from other provider won't affect your website

If you PM me, I could discuss the details (I don't have enough points to PM you). But in short, I don't want my mail provider getting DDOS'd or receive letters that would lead to suspending my mail services or snooping through my messages. Treating a 3rd party email as cover and as a make-shift forwarder is good advice, but I'd like to make sure that 3rd party doesn't screw me over or have a reason to.
