Any BOUNTIES for BUGS/EXPLOINTS in BHW?

Hey admins/mods, are there any bounties for bugs or exploits found here in BHW?

I found one, but I would like to make sure if there are any bounties or rewards for finding bugs or exploits.

I won't abuse it, and won't reveal it, but just asking in case there's a bounty or reward

(If there are no bounties, what about free jr vip membership? I would LOVE that guys!!! )

Apple Inc. has an active program for persons or teams that find exploits in their software. Zero-Click exploits are particularly profitable with Apple Inc.

May be not in bhw, you found that vulnerability at xenforo the software which is used to built this forum, may be check on other forums running same software to varify, xen team most likely to have a bug bounty program as they have a lot of money.

No, it isn't xenforo, it's about bhw specifically. Else, I would've tried to contact the xenforo team or the dev team that mantains xenforo.

Instead of being an absolute trash by trying to earn or gain on others' flaws, why not report it and gain some positive rep amongst the staff as a helpful member?

PLUS, If I was that evil, I wouldn't even announce I found something and I would just abuse it until they patched it. But guess what! I opened this thread and asked kindly if there was any bounty/reward for finding that.

Asking is first step towards gaining something, hope what you have found is worthy of reward, and bhw team gives you the same.

while I understand that my previous comment could sound like coming from one that has a few sizes too large, the thing is - I generally hate people like OP, I guess not because they seek to benefit from such situations but the overall way of how they chose to present it, it is just somehow deeply annoying.

Look, I just asked if there was a bounty for finding such bugs/exploits. I just don't see anything wrong with that.

As I said, usually big sites have bounties for people that find these things.

Nothing wrong in asking.

And I said, if I don't get anything, I will still reveal the bug/exploit to mods/admins when they request me to do so. As I know if I found it, others will find it and abuse it without thinking if it's better to report it so admins/mods fix it.

I didn't blackmail them saying "you give me this and I will tell you the bug/exploit I found or else...".

I simply asked if there was a bounty/reward for finding it.

As I said, the way how you did it was more annoying than the fact itself. You hold the stance that if you will not receive anything in return, then the exploit will remain hidden, thus available for the next one who will find it and then can use it for worse. I just find such people extremely unpleasant and annoying. Feel free to ignore me.

DUDE, If I wanted something from this I would just abuse the exploit MYSELF. I wouldn't have opened this thread if I wanted from this !!!

Thanks for opening the discussion. If you think you really have an exploit we’d appreciate a support ticket or pm me directly. We will then review to see if it truly is an exploit or bug.

We often mod the standard Xenforo product and point out that whilst xenforo is the heart of the platform we’ve built the arms legs lungs, eyes and ears etc so we appreciate that the issues you find maybe unique to our setup and not a xenforo bug. If we find it to be Xenforo related we’ll report it to them and (with your permission) connect you to them directly.

As we build a group of verified testers and bug finders on BHW (you know who you are, it’s invite only to those that have proven their skills, please don’t ask) we will evolve our offering. But the offering will always be a community / engagement benefit over anything else.

We appreciate the community engagement that we’ve always benefited from on the forum and look forward to hearing from you.
