Link Submitter Software - What about google?

Hello everyone,

I came across this nice tool that everyboy seems to love around the forum. It really looks great! But I have a question for all of you mates:

- Does google "like" this automated software? Or will my website suffer any ban or something like that?

I'm talking about this piece of software:

Everyone seems to like it but I'm a little concerned about google's opinion about it.

Web directories are created for the sole purpose of getting links to websites. If there were no sites, it wouldn't be much of a directory now would it?

As long as you don't blast every site you own multiple times, you should be fine.

If your site is new I wouldn't bother blasting it with 3000 directories, wait a few months until it has some authority and you have built lots of other links.

The main problems with automated software is that it can build links too fast or it can build links with the same anchor text, description etc.

Since directories can take weeks, months, year even to approve links, this shouldn't be a huge problem although as I said, I wouldnt choose it as my first link building method. Your main problem will be in arranging different anchor texts and descriptions, maybe this software can do this, I haven't used it yet.

Bear in mind also that directories carry a lot less weight these days. A link is still a link, but you are far better off building the highest quality links first and then once your site is established blasting it with some tools like this for numbers.

Google doesn't like automated link building in general. Most of the time this is due to there being no editorial process from the site giving the link but I think the same could apply here. Unless you build several hundred/thousand identical links in a day, Google isn't going to ban/penalise/spank you.

No you're just scaring me... hehe, just kidding

I just built 100 angela profiles backlinks with the same anchor text and link... Is this bad? 100 backlinks in 2 or 3 days... Did i do it the wrong way?

Directory sites don't typically support anchor text links.

All directory sites are for is to submit your URL, and there really is no harm in it since they welcome submissions. I have used directory and statistic sites to submit my URLs to and have never had a negative effect.

If you are really worried then sure you can submit to a small number every day to play it safe if you want to.

I think G yawns at directory submission these days unless its from one of the big ones you have to pay for.

dont forget to get backlinks other ways also. you want a good diversity of links to your site - do some social bookmarking, rss submission, article submission, etc
