What's your target audience? Are you actually going to compete with Google Ads or just categorization?

I've used Ads on both sides as publisher and advertiser, so for start focus on one more and a minimum threshold that's affordable for the little guy as well as add payment gateway that's not just pp so crypto would be an awesome advantage.

Just a few thoughts

Target audience is will be smb looking to run Tiktok ads, the plan is to provide media buying services for Tiktok. Any tips on providing crypto as payment gateway? found https://coingate.com/ as a processor any specific processor you can recommend?

Coingate will do, blockonomics has gateway services for direct selling do know if they can set you up for a major payment gateway fr your site.

Good thing is you have more control with them that's Blockonomics

thanks will check them out. From what understand paypal is ok when it comes to social media agencies?

Paypal is okay just don't make it the only source of payment that way you have a global audience not restricted to PayPal countries

First of all, congratulations on your decision to start your own digital advertising agency.

As you probably already know, the biggest challenge with such a business model is finding clients.

I suggest that you be clear on the kind of client you are shooting for.

Once you have a clear idea of what type of business you'll appeal to, come up with buyer personas.

Many people who go into the digital advertising agency business overlook this, and that's why they fail.

Figure out where these personas hang out online.

What are their needs? What content do they usually gravitate towards?

Once you have a good understanding of this, you can create content and plan your advertising campaigns accordingly.

A great place to start is LinkedIn.

One shortcut to all of this is finding an agency you'd like to become and reverse-engineer them.

Figure out where they hang out, understand their content, and mimic what they do.

Of course, it will be ham-fisted and rough around the edges, but it gives you a headstart, and pretty soon, you can fine-tune and adjust your message until you get solid results.

Is it going to happen overnight? Of course, not.

You have to be patient, and most importantly, you have to be willing to learn from your mistakes.

Congratulations on your journey.

The most important thing(s) to keep in mind is the reason(s) why you had minor success with your software development agency and work on those aspects before you even think of trying anything new (especially something you do not even have any experience in), otherwise instead of minor success, it may end up in zero success.
So, firstly analyze why you had a minor success with your software development agency and fix that (perhaps your people-skilks, marketing skills, etc need some fixing) before thinking of doing anything new.

Initially i was planning on targeting smbs for 1k$ a month retainers but i don't think that is going to be possible in early stages so I can first get my operation running properly then scale up from there. I've heard a lot about linkedin sales navigator, will check it out thanks.

I failed the first around because i think i was aiming a bit too high when instead i should have focused on getting even small clients first so i could perfect my process and workflow between me and the people i outsourced the work to then scaled. but this time im going to focus 1-2 months strictly on small clients and hopefully by month 3 go for bigger clients

Definitely agree LinkedIn is the #1 place to prospect clients! I see that you are also looking to accept crypto payments, while many are pro crypto I dont think business`s will want to pay in crypto for a service like advertising.

Not sure about your location but would definitely consider PayPal & Stripe for payment gateways.

Wishing you the best on your journey!

OK, so you have analysed and you now know why you had "minor" success with your software development agency, which as per you is : that you aimed too high not initially focussing on smaller clients (as per your analysis).
Fine, so now that you are clear (as per you) as to why you had "minor" success with your software development agency AND you've clearly identified the reason(s) for that, why not fix that, work on that and once again try to work on your software development agency instead of thinking of starting an advertising agency ?. Be realistic when it comes to business. You identified why you did not have the expected success, fix what you got to fix and retry a few times more, before simply jumping to something new. In business nowadays, if one cannot persevere, then nothing would work out as expected. [Sorry, I do not have the habit of sweet talking when it comes to someone (anyone) trying any business that is new to him or her, as that person would invest atleast time and time is money, time lost is money lost. Learn how to persevere, so that if you fail in something, you do not just give up and move to something else WITHOUT reanalyzing and trying again a few more times : Don't end up being a "jack of all trades, master of none"].
