As the title states.
I have a one site where I've probably been renting some home page links from a high quality, low OBL pbn renting service for a number of months ago.
In the beginning I was adding other links in addition those home page PBNs but now that I've isolated it and I'm just watching these PBN links by itself, I can just see the rankings decreasing and decreasing every month.

Roughly medium difficulty (local) keyword; roughly $170/month for the rented PBN service.

Some questions:

1. How long do you guys rent your PBN's for? And if you stop renting them, do you see any drastic drops?
2. Do you need to keep building links on top of the PBN or can you just rent a PBN and relax?

Can you elaborate on isolated? Have you removed those links that were added previously and now only PBN links remain?

The reality is that in SEO it's never 100% isolated.

There are new updates being released on a monthly basis pretty much and decreased rankings can be result of one of those.

If all else is good and PBN is quality, one other thing that causes downward rankings instead of up is over-optimized anchor text.

Do you make profit after all? If yes, keep renting or you should increase revenue by CRO your website.

PBN power will decrease depend on many things, links dissapered, obl etc. If it happen you can take bigger package.

You can also build links other than PBN to diversify your links placement since only have homepage backlinks are unnatural.

You obviously will see a drop. This is the main pinpoint of PBN and a strategy many people have done to secure their clients for ages

In fact, unless you create your own backlinks you will be PBN dependant forever. Although, some people are fine with this you must be aware of it.

The #1 problem with PBN I've seen in my own PBN, is that incoming links for those PBN that were the "authority" are lost over the time, because some of the incoming linking sites, repair their sites. In fact one of my biggest mistakes with my PBN was buying many domains that I did not populate in 10-12 months, so incoming page owners, did notice this easier with tools and removed or edited the links that were giving the reputation.

So basically is normal that PBN domains decrease in power over the time. Here you have two options:
A) Renegotiate the price of the rental which is the best idea
B) Re-rent with a new domain and see the change, which is risky AF if you are already ranking relatively well with the previous rental.

What I meant by isolated was that I wasn't building any additional links, although the website already has a decent foundation so yeah you're right about the new updates playing a role.

Also when you said "PM me if you belong to us" I thought you were part of some secret BHW cult until I realized you sell PBN rentals. LOL.
Can I DM you anyway for a quick audit of my site?

It's for a local service-based business and honestly unless I rank #1 or #2 for my main keyword, no, I'd be getting very little organic traffic from the SERPs. Most of my traffic is from my GMB ranking since it's what local people tend to look at.

Keeping renting for an year to above , they work mate !

Thanks for the tip. Are you suggesting that they lose power after a year or is this just when the cost of the rental outweighs the benefit you got from that year?

Then it's not isolated. It's just being idle and observing the results.

Sure, feel free.
