Making Money Various Ways - Attempting To Grow

This is more of a personal post that I will look back on and/or use it to track progress while I start to go deep into some of these side money gigs I am going to be trying.

And by all means, if the list I am about to make is related to something you do, feel free to give any tips or anything.

So basically, I have a background in marketing and have grown a B2B start-up company from nothing to over 150k users in the first year, and the company is selling over 25M a year at this point, so for a small business with a small team that is lead by me, we did great.

So I am now trying to take everything I learned and already know to make my own side gigs and start to have my fair share of the revenue.

I will be trying:

1. Tik tok
2. Coding freelance
3. Bot creation
4. Discord / Telegram group growth to monetization (maybe twitter too)

So basically these are listed in no specific order.

However, with Tik Tok, i have already started this. I have been posting for about 2 months and have 14k followers, just got accepted into the creator fund so i will see how that helps me make some extra money.

I have been teaching myself Python over the last month or so - i think I will next be trying to create bots in this language for Discord first then Twitter. From there I don't know exactly where I want to go with it, but making some form of thread unroll bot or something that simply posts dumb stuff to get an account to grow is all I'm looking for with this first attempt at botting.

I think I will also try to grow a discord / telegram community at the same time, since that is less time-consuming as far as I know. The purpose of this community will be to monetize it at some point so it will be about something that is valuable, either stocks, marketing, or in general business.

If anyone has any tips on any of this or wants to follow along feel free. i will be updating this post probably once a month or at every milestone. Not sure yet. This is my first go at something like this. I have seen success from nothing in my day-to-day life, now I want to do it for myself on the side. lets go!

I thought that too when typing it all out. I am already doing the TikTOk stuff so I know how to do it and how much time it consumes currently. So i know I can start to fiddle with another one of those, but only one more as you are right, it is too many.

Writing my first official update since I have some time today.

I have been making tik toks on the weekends, i get the content and the ideas during the week on my lunch breaks then when the weekend hits I make the videos. All with free apps and whatnot.

Takes me about 4 hours to get a weeks worth of content i'd say, can be a lot quicker too but I take my time.

I started posting on the 1st of February. I have 16.5k followers with 825k likes.

I got into the creator fund on march 30th.

Since march 30th, I have made $45.

Half of this has come in the past week as my account started to go more viral.

I am rather happy with how it is panning out. On track to be making over $50 per month in just my first month of being in the creator fund.

Took about 12 hours to generate the content that got me this $45, so sure it is like $4 per hour but its a slow build, this number will go up as my account continues to grow and get more followers and viewers daily.

I am gonna keep it up. I think I'm going to be spending a weekend to build out content for a whole month so I can then put more time into something else for a while then come back to this TikTok stuff after a few weeks again.

The hardest part of all of this is managing the storage on my phone and in my google drive haha

I agree that my original post has way too many different things.

I focused on TikTok only after posting this thread.

At this point i am pretty proficient with it and know what i need to do to keep growing with my content that I make, so i can just focus on making the content for like a month, plan when to post each post, then do so to free up more time.

Adding another update. Got into the creator fund on 3/30. Made my first $100 once I got my total for 4/29. Not bad for my first month of getting revenue. Account also just hit 1 million total likes and is nearin 20k followers. Should start to see some good compounding growth as it seems every video that goes viral now is gaining me much more followers and likes when they do go off.

Also, something I noticed is that i posted a video without captions generated and it was doing horrible, 10 views in like 10 minutes. I took it down and reposted it with captions and it has 100k views in about 24 hours now. Seems like the algo likes when you generate captions.
