Hi, not sure if anyone can help me but I need to start making some money. I have access to a really good plan on Semrush for a limited time, but I think if I can start selling some services using the tool maybe I can keep paying for the subscription.

I know i can do keyword research and maybe sell that as a service. What other things can I do? I need to explore the tool but I don't know where to begin!

Thank you for your hel.

Semrush trial accounts are usually available for sale for $5-7. I don't think you'll be able to make any money with what you're planning.

Do you know how to use the software? Maybe look at some data aggregation techniques for SEMrush (some are in this forum, look up "SEMrush hacks" for example) then put together a unique report for SEO or PPC and sell paid audits.

Or totally change your mentality and learn about "customer first" approach. It may save tons of your time on the way to mmo

Hello, you have a great idea. Can you explain it please.
Thanks

You can try and find sites and sell guest posts on FB groups

best to learn the tool and how to get the best from it then advertise services.

I've lost count of how many people open threads saying; I have got a client for my SEO services but have no idea what to do...

That depends on your goal. In my life, I have more experience with having the skill but missing the skill to sell.

If you know how to market that's a skill on its own. If you have a bag of skills but no idea how to sell those u are worthless.

Thanks so much I'll look into it. Also sorry for my late reply I just saw that I had replies.

Yeah, I suppose it was unexpected that this would happen. I won a competition so I didn't really plan to go down this path. I've done some beginner SEO courses but not much more than that. I appreciate your help.

And sorry my response is so late I only just saw that I had replies.

Well, I hope I'm not worthless altogether. I could definitely scrub up on my sales skills. I am going to look at getting some books and doing some courses on that particular subject. So, we'll see how it goes. Thanks for your input.

Offer SEO audits and proper kw planning
Thanks that's basically what I was thinking. If I can learn more about the advertising side of things I think that will be even more profitable.

Sorry I took so long to reply I just saw the responses.

I'd probably have more luck direct with the site wouldn't I? There's so many people trying to get work on Facebook I don't know how I'd stand out from the sea of people.

I'm going to look it up and check the forum

You already have the idea. You can sell keyword research as a serivce. No matter what tools you use but customers need keyword research.
Thank you. I think that's where I'll start as I have some idea of what I'm doing there.

Yes, since I'm just starting out a shift in mentality is no doubt needed. Thank you

Semrush trial accounts are usually available for sale for $5-7. I don't think you'll be able to make any money with what you're planning.
I've got a Guru account for myself for a year so I think I can and I will. I just have to figure out what people need help with and offer that. But thank you I understand what you are saying.

I 100% agree with this.

If there´s something missing from this forum is SEMrush hacks.

You can find some golden gems around Ahrefs but there aren´t many guides, tips, AMA, methods, or hacks about SEMrush.

I also agree with @NirvanaWolf on this one as well...

So, if you were thinking of selling any reports you can just export directly from SEMrush, I would think about it twice before launching a BST around it.

Instead, leverage the power of the tool to offer some other and more advanced service that relies on the usage of SEMrush or something you just can´t do with group buy or trial accounts.

You mentioned you have the GURU plan so, based on the features and limitations set for that plan you can...
  • Track keywords - Up to 1,500
  • Monitor social media accounts (Up to 100)
  • track local rankings
  • mana GBP and Facebook listings
  • monitor reviews

For $20 more p/month, you can get the basic local SEO citation pack and offer these to local customers alongside the other local SEO features from above.

Anyway, I am just brainstorming here on the fly but you get the idea.

Cheers and gl!!

Please use multi-quote when making consecutive replies.

This is such a bullshit comment. There's a ton that can be done with the tool, SEO audits, kw research, guest posting ideas, competitor analysis, expired domain hunt and checking for link profiles, anchors etc. - It is like saying oh a hammer is available for $20 and you can't do anything with it lol.

Master it and and sell keyword packages. There are sellers doing this already and making good money.

Website audits , but about 90 percent own web analysis now , so You can try it selling !

If you are asking how to make money it means ull never make money, specialy by tool that commonly accesible as semrush is.
