It depends on the SEO value of the websites that you are going to be soliciting guest posts for.

The higher the domain authority and the higher the quality of the backlinks pointing to your site, the higher your rate should be.

Even if you don't have much SEO equity right now, you can build it over time.

But let me tell you, you probably would need people to guest post for free in the beginning.

Usually, the quality of the content of those guest posts tend to be on the low side if your SEO equity is also on the low side.

It's kind of a chicken or egg problem in the beginning.

But if you keep adding and you publish original content on your site and it increases in domain authority over time, then you will be able to charge higher rates.
