Website Traffic Stuck Not Growing

Hi Experts,

I have a team of writers and we are publishing content on my website on daily basis around 10 posts everyday and the keywords are based on KGR strategy till now I have around 1500 such posts on my website and all my posts are indexing easily like next day.

The thing is in the starting when i started putting the content till 500-600 posts my traffic was growing very rapidly like 20-30% or maybe even 40% month to month and touched around 2000 visitors everyday with 95% organic traffic with just 500 posts at that time I am publishing 2-3 posts everyday but last year after May or June google update I lost 50% of the traffic then I decided to publish more and more content and from past 6-7 months we are publish around 10 posts every day.

But after doing all these things my traffic is not growing like the way it was growing earlier it's more or less the same from 2-3 months inspite of publishing 10 posts everyday I am getting around 1400-1600 visitors every day with 90-95% organic traffic.

I have not done any link building but create some 4-5 backlinks that's it.

How can I increase my website traffic?

I am following exactly the old strategy i followed in the starting. But i'll surely check the on-page seo guides here.

You also need to do backlinking. If no links are build for a site for 6 months to one year, Google will not consider it as a good website.

As you said, that you are not building links. That is why the ranking ia not improving. If you want to rank and make money, you should build good quality back links.

That's the biggest problem with google; you can do everything right, get traffic but suddenly out of nowhere you get hit.

So, my best recommendation is into building spam blogs while you keep working on your whitehat projects. You get to keep growing your site while you diversify your traffic sources so in the end you don't see such big drops in traffic at a time.

Also, it could be that you bought/created bad backlinks and are finally seeing the results

How are you interlinking?

Are you cannibalizing your keyword THEMES (notice I didn't say KEYWORDS but KEYWORD THEMES - 2 different things)?

Is your content original?

Have you tried doing an AHREFS or SEMRUSH audit?

I would get rid of or heavily rewrite super old and no-performing articles, do you have any of these?

Have you done any major changes in your site in the recent times? Like deleting pages or migrating too many pages to other sites?

I did that with one of my websites few months ago. That website had steady traffic but after I did those migrations and applied 301 redirects, the traffic to my website dropped (which was expected) but never recovered to the original level even though I had created posts and quality content after that.

I have come to the conclusion that Google doesn't like sudden disruptive changes to the websites.

This actually makes sense and I've been saying this for ages. If you rank and cover a topic well, you'll naturally get backlinks like guest and forum posts. Since nobody shares your site, google think it's kinda crap.
I still get guest posts and mentions on forums and social media naturally (although, I used to get more in the past).

1. You need to analyse and post rather than just post. Do you rank for more keywords now?
2. You need to improve existing content and GCS is very helpful here. Just moving a few positions up on existing keywords will bring lots of extra traffic.

Especially since you're publishing 10 posts a day. How do you maintain quality when pushing out so many posts daily? I would advise you to take a step back and answer the following questions:

1. Are you sure your keywords are low competition? Analyze the top 10 (go for keywords where top 10 are other smaller affiliate sites with a shitty backlink profile, look for user generated content: forums, q&a sites)

2. The other sites ranking above you, do they have better content than yours?

3. Are you answering the search query? Just because you are targeting the keyword doesn't mean you are addressing the search intent properly. So go back to your articles and put yourself in the shoes of the person typing in the search query. Then read your article and ask yourself, did you answer the query properly or are you just filling up words (most people don't address the search intent and then wonder why they don't rank)

4. Is your site a multi-niche site or is it in one broad/narrow niche.

Multi niche: Gaming Consoles, Cameras, TVs, Stereo Systems - If the keywords are not related, you will have a hard time establishing topical relevancy. Google rewards sites which have topical relevancy. Now you can use keywords in the same categories as above and make them topically relevant, here is how:

a) gaming consoles
b) cameras for multiplayer games
c) TVs for gaming consoles
d) stereo systems for gaming

Now all of those keywords are topically relevant. However, you still need to make sure the competition is low. You want to find keywords within 1 broad niche so your website as a whole is topically relevant.

If you do all of these 4 things right, it is impossible for your website to not rank, even without links. If you get hit in one update, it will come back. Think about it, how does google know how to pick search snippets? you get the exact answer in the snippets. That is because google's AI can understand the search intent. So you need to cater to the intent, target low comp keywords, write content that is better than your competition, and make sure all of the keywords are related to each other and go under one broad topic.

If you are doing all these things right you will get traffic. Now ONLY after you get points 1 - 4 right, if you want more traffic, you need to invest in links. Build 80% links to your home page and link out to your articles from your home page. The other 20% of the links need to go to pages which are targeting the highest competition kw among all of your targetted keywords. Notice how I said highest comp AMONG your kw. This doesn't mean some of your keywords are actually high competition, they should still be low competition, but among all of the low competition keywords they are relatively higher on the difficulty scale.

Once you start ranking for low competition keywords and your site has been around for a while, you can then target medium comp keywords, and once those rank, go for higher comp keywords. Over time everything is going to rank.

You're doing too good, but you should try to improve the ON Page SEO for getting good result, and also you were saying not building link, this is also one of the reason for decreasing traffic. so you may build a high quality backlinks. I think these are helps to getting a good organic traffic.
