instagram profile location?

Scrape the last 100 images and look for location tags, then calculate the location frequency in percentages and select the most tagged location.
e.g. if the profile has 10 pics with US locations but only a few with EU it's most likely that the account is US-based.

Like the user above me said, you should go through all their recent photos and find the location tags used. Watch their videos and see what they're talking about, check the comments also and the people they're tagging. Location tags might not be their real location because even I have used location tags other than my own country when I am looking for viewers from another country.
Overall, I can say that when you take a look at their videos and photos, comments, you might have an idea what their true location is but some people can always mislead their viewers especially scammers.

Yes, But this doesn't get you 100% accuracy everytime, Considering that account was a US Tourist from some other Country and has been travelling there since long.
You can get an idea with name, looks (a little bit), try to find some local photos of them which are okayish in quality as people tend to post such photos near to where they live and several many other small factors. But there isn't any 100% fullproof method to find some account's location.

I don’t think @Razentyler meant to be snarky though it may have come across as such. What you stated is definitely the most accurate way to find out someone’s location. He was probably just saying even then, it couldn’t be 100% accurate (which is impossible anyway).

if you need only one account's location, send them a link with a tracker and make it luring enough to click on it. the tracker willl show you their IP
