In the video, he shows us how we can use Ahrefs to discover what sites like Quora are ranking highly. The neat part of this trick is that you can search for keywords specific to your niche and find cases where Quora is ranking in the top 2! You can even find cases where Quora owns the featured snippet!!! He also goes into how to validate underserved topics as well, so feel free to watch the entire video!

First, as it stands in April 2022, you need to use the legacy version of the Ahrefs Organic keyword. Side note: The new version of the Organic Keywords report doesn’t support “large sites” like Quora and Reddit yet.

Once you’re in the legacy Organic Keywords report, you’ll want to apply a filter for positions 1-2 (or whatever you’d like to choose) and enter your target keyword, in this case, “golf.”

This is what it yields - keyword list

You might also want to try this with Reddit.com.

Steve’s tip! It might be helpful to check your GSC for more keywords you can plug into Ahrefs since not every “golf keyword” is going to contain the word “golf.” You might want to also search keywords like PGA, Callaway, Tiger Woods

I was going to say this. You can do this under "Organic Research" in SEMRush.

Keyword > Pick Top 3

Also can filter by keyword difficulty, search volume, intent, etc...

You can use this for forums, Quora, Reddit....pretty much any website that gets a ton of traffic due to authority and not direct linking at the page level.

I'm trying this with Semrush by filtering niche specific forums and while you can indeed find some hidden gems, the majority of keywords will be pretty useless ones. That might depend on your niche, though.

The thing that gets me bugging is the search volume estimation in Semrush. They are way inflated in comparison to KeywordsEverywhere. I've even seen some keywords with a few thousand MS on Semrush that end up being 0 MS on KeywordsEverywhere.

Maybe it's time to ask this question:
There is a niche I know where majority of the top 10 SERPS are filled by forums. If I use this idea to create a niche site and pursue those KWs, do I stand a chance?
I ask because these ideas suggest to target KWs that are dominated by user generated posts

I want to ask you about old domain name, I bought some old domain name with good metric I checked their content history and if there any penalty from google .... all sounds good. but I have problem with the language & niche. I'm planning to use this aged domain name for different niche and language.
for example one of those old domain was written by Spanish language and its niche was about car.
I'm planning to use this domain name in Pets niche and write content by French.
what should I do, go ahead and start? what do think?
