How long for cryptos to become profitable again?

Recession in the USA is coming later this year / next year for sure, it'll kill both stock markets and crypto till 2023-2024 minimum

Not seeing anything good for "investment" purposes in the near future. ETH upgrade might do something, but it should only be temporary as the whales will likely cash out. Crypto shouldn't be profitable really. What we have seen in the past should not be expected to repeat. There are still lots of great small projects to jump in early, but the top 10 are looking pretty stable overall in their current ranges. I would guess 0% chance of BTC reaching and holding $60k.

This is 100% accurate - liquidity is drying up and crypto bleeding is one of many consequences of this. You just can't keep an economy afloat by printing billions of dollars that are backed by nothing forever. The powers that be know this and have simply been doing everything they can to delay it.
That being said, if the US dollar falls with the market crash, BTC could skyrocket or become the new widely used currency. This is all speculation of course, but it's certainly possible. Heavily shorted stocks will also shoot up due to forced liquidation of hedge funds, but all blue chips will crumble.

Transaction time has no bearing on whether BTC is scalable or not on a larger scale. It absolutely is scalable. BTC is limited in supply while the US dollar is not.
This is also why major companies are starting to accept BTC.

Actually, this year already had some good moments. We haven't even gotten to half of the year yet. There's hope I guess.

Well the new kid on the block is Play to Earn Cryptocurrencies. They literally operate in their own economies and if you find a good p2e game that checks all the boxes, you will smile to the bank year in year out - provided you have the know how of course. So regardless of how bad the market is, a good p2e crypto will still work.

It will surely touch $60 k this year also but I am not sure about being stable their. Crypto market is very volatile, not going to remain stable on any mark ever.
