What could you firstly check except the content?

Look up his domain and use a domain analyzer to check his backlinks ??

What signals should I give more attention?

Will I this move hurt my website?

How much traffic does your site get? Does the content target low competition keyword/s? Is the content top notch?

I personally wouldn't give a free guest post to anyone unless the article was amazing and the site I'm linking out to was high quality with traffic and tied in to my niche.

Yeah the website need to be in the niche or else is useless to backlink to a casino website also no huge traffic coming from google ( most from social platforms)
I can chooce from 3 different topics I haven't received the topics he can write for my website.

I used to get 10 of these offers a day, they send it out to 100's or even 1000's of sites hoping for someone to bite. I would leave it because it's very unlikely the content will add any value to your site.

And it is even more likely that they will blast your web page containing their links with some shitty tier 3 and GSA links.

The only way I would take somebody else's guest post on my blog is if they provide value to my readers.

I have to set the topic and they can't pepper or stuff the article with keywords.

The article must be readable and it must deliver solid value.

The good news is there is a middle ground between keyword-focused content and actually speaking to the needs of flesh and blood human beings.

It takes a good editor to fine tune such an article.

If you don't have the time or money to come up with your own content, take advantage of guest posting opportunities, but you must remain in charge.

After all, you're doing them the favor.
