My conversion rates on my affiliate sites have been dropping quite heavily of recent, and I'm struggling to turn it round.

I've always had links directly to the product pages, but in AAWP you get the option of "Add to cart" which has a much longer cookie (90 days).

I was just wondering if anyone has used this, and what effect they had seen on conversion rates?

I believe that mostly depends on the place and intention of the potential consume and how do you nudge them.

Years back when I did Amazon, I know using FreshStore Builder stuff it was add to cart for the 90 day cookies.

How does it work? If they add to cart and then remove the item, do you still get the 90 day window? If you send them to amazon with a regular link and they add something to their cart, do you get the 90 day cookie?

The emphasis has always been to get the person to Amazon. They are more skilled in conversion than anyone.

Yeah of course, hard to tell, some articles are more aggressive than others and the plugin is sitewide.

It sounds pretty much the same? Was that the better converting way of doing it?

Agreed - again not really tried it, but I believe it directs them to a page that literally says "add to cart" on Amazon, then if they click that you get the 90 day. I don't think you get a 90 day cookie if you direct them to the product page and they then add it to cart, but I may be wrong.
