Even if it does there’s 0 benefit for it.
Your followers aren’t determine anything on the fyp.
I have account with 42k followers
And one with 6k now and they perform basically the same

good video gets on fyp, bad video ends up with less than 5k views.

Yes, it works. You need to know that on TikTok, the number of followers you have doesn't have much effect on the activeness on your page.
