Google removed the 'Search Google for this image' entry from the right click context menu in Chrome version 100. Solution inside.

As the title suggests, Google removed the 'Search Google for this image' entry from the right click/long-press context menu in Chrome version 100 and replaced it with some Google Lens nonsense. I already disabled Google Lens in a previous version, but Google decided to override those settings and enabled it again.

If you want to use the classic reverse image search from the context menu instead of Google Lens, this is how you do it:

1. Go to chrome://flags/
2. Search for lens
3. Disable every flag, which come up as a result to be on the safe side
4. Relaunch the browser

Along with this, they discontinued Lite mode, the data saver feature of Chrome mobile. Their reasoning is that mobile package data limits increased to the point that this feature is not a necessity anymore. This might be true, but with this feature enabled, the pages loaded faster. This is a feature we can't get back unfortunately.

Another way to do it, but it takes effort and if you use that function frequently, that's a lot of unnecessary scrolling. Disabling those flags needs to be done only once and the issue is gone, at least until Google re-enables them with a future update. lol

It does, actually i performed this on a tablet.
