Is anyone successful with fb ads now?

I start being succesfull when i embraced the machine learning

Broad always

Yes retargeting is dead, only use it for upsell current customers with another offer, dont just retarget to the same page, facebook already do that retargeting for you.

No exclusions. The key is to eliminate human decision as much as possible
Retargeting isn't dead. If you properly integrate with a CRM, and are using offline conversions, you can still retarget pretty effectively. Also 1st party retargeting still works (Video % views, Leads, page engagements etc).

We took a different approach. We are using more human decisions now and are manually optimizing rather than allowing the machine learning to go willy nilly. If the algo can no longer gather and use enough data points to get results, you are going to see better results if you manually do the optimizations as long as you are very granular and tracking data correctly.

Earlier I was getting good success with my purchase based conversion ad on fb but now nothing seems to be working no matter what changes I make so I just wanted to know is anyone now still make good profit from selling your stuff through fb ads?

And if anyone is getting good success then can they please share their strategy as I'm really dependent on fb ads to stay afloat with my business.

Lookalike vs broad vs single interest vs stacked interest which one are you using?

And are you still running fb retargeting ads? as it seems that fb retargeting is dead.

And is excluding previous buyers from your targeting audience is a good thing? When you are selling something that people will only buy once without excluding previous buyers even though I'm selling a product that people will only buy once the ad seems to perform better compared to when I exclude the previous buyers.

Any advice would be appreciated.
FB ads really depends on the product and funnel you have in place. I know a few people who are doing serious monthly cash on FB and it's backing out well for them. It's some beauty brand , so very visual , which is possibly why it converts so well. Other people i know have struggled a lot so IMHO FB ads are VERY dependent on the product.

Lookalike seems like working the best for me. It really depends from niche to niche.

Stacking interests only increases the cost per view.

Single interest/broad need a trained pixel in order to work.

What field do you work in? What do you think if your product is already saturated and highly competitive. In fact, fb doesn't work as well as before. but I think this is still a very potential market. you can try to test one more campaigns. or experiment with other platforms like ticktok

depends upon business to business, i used to generate leads for real estate but donot found good leads from my area. Leads generation ads is a total wastage of money

The quality of an advertising campaign depends on many factors.
1) The product you are promoting.
2) The page or site that customers go to.
3) Creative.
4) The price of the goods.
If the price of the product is too high, you will not be able to sell it right away, you need to touch the customer several times with an advertisement to "warm up" him before buying. But this is described very primitively, in order to give any recommendations you need to know what kind of product it is.

Try using different platforms, dont stay just in one, share content from one to another, drive leads from one to another and if your budget gives you the change to use boots and automation softwares do it, that way you will get a better perfomance.

I haven't had successful results since 2018 in fb and google ads. Too much competition.

You should try on other platforms.
Rebuild strategy, create new campaigns targeting more potential audiences.
Making ads on facebook is increasingly difficult but also not impossible to bring profit.

I had also problems, which were all related to the new Apple policy. Now I'm using pixelmysite and everything is working again as normal..

Yes.
However, it requires much more work, top graphic designers, top landing page/s and clean FB accounts.

Still works.. 132 purchase yesterday.

There are many strategies and it depends on your budget and business. Ecom is different than lead gen. In general, I'm using ABO, 3-5 ad sets, not more than 3 ads per set when testing. When scaling, it's ABO, ~5 ad sets with the 5 top performing audiences and 2-3 top performing ads.

When an ad account is really dialed in, you can just go broad and let 'er rip. Dialed in as in at least spending over $1k per day and thousands of purchases recorded. When prospecting for cold traffic, I'm using a mix of lookalike (3% or 5% purchase, 3% addtocart, 2% website visitor) and stacking 1-2 interests in an ad set. I'm looking to get over 5M people in the audiences usually (unless it's a local campaign), so whatever it takes to get close to 5M estimated users in the audience.

Yes. However, I'm using 30 day FB/IG engagers in place of where I would use 30 day website visitors pre-iOS14. Using mostly DPA.
And is excluding previous buyers from your targeting audience is a good thing? When you are selling something that people will only buy once without excluding previous buyers even though I'm selling a product that people will only buy once the ad seems to perform better compared to when I exclude the previous buyers.
I exclude past purchasers for some time frame at all funnel stages. For TOF/prospecting campaigns, I exclude 180day FB/IG engagers, web visitors, atc, ic, and of course purchase. Your TOF isn't really TOF unless you're using exclusions. HOWEVER, different budgets need different methods so don't go trying to get crazy with exclusions with $100 per day budget. If your budget is low, just exclude purchasers. ***But hey, if it makes sense to include past purchasers, then just do it. Worry about adjusting once you find your rhythm and are scaling.

There isn't a step by step method you can follow to print money with FB ads. You just sort of need to feel out the ad account and try to make the decisions you can. Your creative and copy is going to have a huge impact, arguably more than targeting. Just follow the best practices and simplify your ad account. Don't get all "meta" with audiences and exclusions when starting out.

TikTok ads is working for me right now, the problem is that adult content is not allowed. I had problems with Facebook ads.

I know a handful of people still doing very well with FB ads for sure. The methods have definitely changed though.

FB ads work, but you need a good amount of money in the beginning to split test. You could quite possibly burn through thousands of dollars in ad spend before you identify a winning campaign. If you don't have that kind of startup capital it may be worth it to explore other platforms.
