Starter Site Creation - What tech do I build with?

Hello everyone!

I'm looking to get my feet wet with starter sites/site flipping. Plan is to grab a keyword on blackhatworld and build a website around it. If it goes well, I'd like to continue working on it but if it doesn't/I lose interest I'd like to turn sell it for a few hundred bucks.

I'm a competent web developer and designer, I can get high page speed scores from Google, make it ADA compliant, create a sleek modern looking site and more. My question is what kind of site would potential buyers be the most comfortable with? I can make an ultra fast html/css website, but would a non developer want to buy it? I imagine Wordpress would be the most popular, but is there a preferred page builder (Divi, Elementor, etc)?

Flipping is a lucrative business but to get maximum returns you need two important things - traffic and monetization. You need to show at least 6 months of consistent income for the site to sell. Starter sites fetch very less money, sometimes could be less that what it costed you in terms of time and effort.

Im curious used to do the whole Flippa thing years ago thought it died out guessed wrong :::::::::: But to your point what if the site was an expired that I snagged up the day of and it still ahs 500-2K live backlinks and low MOZ spam scores? Its new to me but the site was around for years.
