Hi everyone,

I am just wondering what you guys think about using disavow links or not in my case which is the following:

  1. I have website with 4% spam score
  2. I run backlink audit tool from SemRush and found me like 30 toxic backlinks from casino or asian sites with a toxicity score between 92 and 85 which is like 12% of my backlinks.
  3. When I do site:mydomain.com in Google it shows only until page 3 of index content which I have over 70 articles which I think I am some sort of a penalty.

So, I am wondering does it really works to disavow at all? Is it recommended at all? Should I disavow only the links mention on SemRush? If I disavow should this weird penalty go away?

What you guys think, I should do?

Have you checked your search console? Do you see anything there? Was there a significant decrease in traffic after you received these backlinks?

I had checked and there there is no manual spam penalty or anything like that and traffic is growing slowly some main keywords I am on first page but, most are second, third, fourth and fifth but, slowly going up so, I did not see anything odd there. The only odd thing would be that indexing rate is pretty slow maybe between 3 to 7 articles per week but, nowadays this seems normal.

My opinion NO
1. SS is shit metric from MOZ. It's not Google, it's MOZ! My best site is with 81% SS.
2. I can't see casino or asian sites as a threat because Google is smarter than that. In the past yes, but these days you shouldn't worry about that.
3. Very common problem, try to index that articles again.

Those toxic links you found... are they even indexed by google?

I just check every single one and only 3 domains of them are index, the other ones none are index even when I do "site:mydomain.com" domain is NOT indexed either.

Which means there is no risk, correct?

Correct... they are not indexed so they can do no harm.
That's why you shouldn't rush when it comes to links.

I only disavowed the links coming from Blogspot, with 0 DR and that are out of my niche (meaning no relation or any topical connection to my website)

So far no problems. I know that Google is smart but better safe than sorry.

Any good reliable online checker where I can see my spam score??

Thanks!

Ignore it. Ive seen a website that ranked #1 for very competitive keyword.
While his anchor links 80% filled with porn terms. Clearly coming from his competitors.

Happened to my site too, and I just ignored it.

Yes, that's the thing for me having this types of backlinks even there toxic is natural to have them, personally I think that would look more unnatural that all your backlinks are perfect on Googles eyes, right?

Also, maybe I am wrong since there is no proof about it but, I don't want to disavow because I am sure doing so will raise some kind of flag to Google. Because for me the disavow tool was created by Google to give user a chance to fix their website when it was penalized. Besides so, far every thread that I read on this matter from people that disavow it seems they never recover 100%.

1 and 2.Yes I think the same, it just looks natural to have all kinds of backlinks personally I think gives website more authority on Google eyes.

3. Yes indexing seems normal becuase, it keeps indexing and for todays ratio I think is normal. The only thing that really worries me is that when I do "site:mydomain.com" on Google it only shows results until page 3 and I got like 70 articles posts although this pages that dont show there ranking in other keywords so, I don't know what to think, that is why I was considering to disavow mostly because I was thinking this is some sort of penalty because of those links.

Like I said maybe I am wrong or maybe this forum makes you paranoid with Google but, I really think it raises some kind of flag to Google.
